Awesome, I'm ecstatic for you!

Re Martins point of all top level athletes being on the sauce, I genuinely dont think Usain Bolt is, I just think he's one of lifes freaks! Maybe I'm being a tad naive!?

why is that?

because Jamaica didn't have out of season drug testing until recently(not sure if they do now, but they didn't)?

because some of his team mates have failed drugs tests recently?

because so many Jamacan woman sprinters wear braces at 25 years old(apparently gaps in your teeth is a tell tail sign of growth)

or is it in all honestly, because he's tall?

I would also like to believe this. I know it doesn't prove anything, but he really doesn't appear that strong compared to other sprinters

I'd also like to think the British cyclists success was due to science of training and equipment as opposed to other banned methods.

How many Olympic medalists at the strength, power and endurance events will be drug free?

If you mean life time drug free then IMO none.

Reading some of the comments about ped taking you to your natural limit quicker????....From seeing and speaking to others who use ped then it is pretty clear that they make you in effect super human and increase your performance/strength/what ever way above what an individual would achieve naturally.

What his Jamaican contempories do is neither here nor there. Chambers was full of it...doesnt mean Cambell et al were also

There isnt any logic to my thinking...I just think he's an absolute freak

But then again, I may have thought the same about Ben Johnson in the 80s Wink

It's very conceivable and significantly more so than lots of people would like you to believe.

I wouldn't want to say either way, as I, like everyone other than the athletes and those closest to them, haven't got a f**king clue. I certainly dont think there is some sort of state sponsored cycling drugs programme like many would have you believe.

Playing devils advocate here.......knowing what you know about the prevalence of drugs in most strength based sports why would it surprise you so much when he is running so fast? Is it just because you don't want to think of him being on due to his age, his general nature, upbringing etc etc
Personally, thinking of young athletes who've not even finished growing taking exogenous hormones doesn't sit very well with me and this is the reason why an untested Olympics would never happen.

It's nothing more than hunch, experience and knowing the kid to be honest, so hardly the most scientific of reasoning.

Oh, the fact that he has never failed a drugs test helps Wink

But Dwain trained in America, this is the group of guys Bolt trains with

Yeah, its one of those things, that the guy who is the best, you just sort of want him to be different, somehow, haha

With him people justify it because he is tall (like nobody tall has ever tried to run fast), so what to his teammate who won the worlds, and has beat him recently, but is sub 6 foot, why is he so fast?

Competed against a bobsleigh guy in a novice comp, he had never laid hands on a event, handed mine, nialls, and Luke fullbrookes arse to us!
