Deadlift it's hard to tell .. Danny Potter did 3 with it and his best pull is 214kg ..

It didn't take the full weight of the car until just above the knee so it was more like a 240kg 16" deadlift I suspect .. The good deadlifters still nailed it though !!

The other guy decided last minute that he didn't want us to use his car so we went with this one .. No one complained .

The winner of this comp Liam Hunt was very impressive and I recon he'll nail a qualification spot at U90kg Northerns .. Which will make things very interesting !
AvatarRodger

Yeah the deadlift was brill I loved it. It was good to try pull something that heavy. And u have to except slight changes and work with what u have, loved it. Best day ever. My back dont think so now tho im smash cant move lolHappy Happy

Really happy with caged steels performance winning every event bar pressing. Bruce(liam hunt) deserved the win consistent all day long.

Quick question because I came 3rd does that mean I can't do novices now? I hope this aint the case as I aint 105 level yet ha.

what a good comp Mark - what stood out to was the sheer desire and determination to do well from all the lads. Crowd were very upbeat too.

Liam - Congratz for winning, going to do very well Im sure in the 90kg category.

Well done to my friends Rodger and Rico, both did very well in their first comp.

James - mind blowing on the stones. Guy looking huge too, starting to fill out already, under 105kg competitor in a year or two for sure and hel be a good one!

Think the comp was a great success, just what the sport needs.

Well done to everyone involved

I would say your all perfectly fine going in a novice comp If you feel that is still your level .. This was a first timers after all .. I would urge lads to go and try and challenge themselves as much as they can .. The top 3-4 u90kg guys should without doubt do the proper u90kg circuit this year ..

I think a Caged Steel Vs O.S.G Novice comp with home and away legs would be a step forward for our clubs .. Maybe me and Graham will have a chat .

Sounds like a fantastic comp

Congrats to the competitors and OSG crew who made it happen

I'd be well up for that Mark, sure we can arrange something in the future, and thank you for an excellent day, was a great place to get our feet wet in the sport, I sound like Peggy Mitchell, but I'm proud of my boys lol

Well done to all involved competing, organising, helping etc (and to especially to Mark - overseeing everything AND scoring it alone - NOT a job I would ever want!), another great day at OSG.

I would have loved the opportunity to compete at a comp like this when I was starting out and look forward to seeing the lads compete again and progress in the sport. Cool

I love it when people say that ... It won`t mate, it will be a f**ked cocktail of mixed emotions.

You were spot on with that comment ha ha!

Congratulations to all the competitors yesterday and especially the deserved winner. Mammoth effort throughout the day.

Massive thank you to mark, the judges, announcer, loaders and everyone else who made the day possible.
