Deadlift:

225kg x 3

Barbell Shrugs:

250kg x 6

Disastrous session! No energy to do anything and only just managed 5 reps on the squat which left me nothing for the deadlift.

Bench Press:

117.5kg x 5
100kg x 8

Chin-ups

Bodyweight x 6
Bodyweight + 60lb x 6

Standing Press:

40kg x 3
72.5kg x 6

Barbell Curls

40kg x 3

Dips:

Bodyweight x 6
Bodyweight + 95lb x 6

Went up on the bench on both final sets, and even though I still can't get 6 on 117.5 my drop set was easy! The rest of the session went well, never in danger of missing a single rep although I cut my curls short due to a slight elbow injury.

Calf Raises:

Bodyweight x 10

Still no 6 on the deadlift, can't afford to have another session like this with so few left until the world's. Squat was a reasonable set, all 6 were deep and comfortable.

Another 5 on the bench, maybe time to drop the weight slightly, although the drop set was easy!

Definitely have to put my squat and deadlift down after this, I need to make sure I can get a decent amount of reps with a good technique.

Dropped the weight on the bench slightly, got a hard 6 with it and a comfortable drop set. Only one more bench session to go until the world's now!

Dropping the squat and deadlift weight definitely seemed to work! After deadlifting my legs felt like they were about to fall off! Next time the aim will be to get at least 7 reps on my final sets, as they felt easy, and then I'll be all set for Glasgow!

Bodyweight: 100.0 kg

Squat:

1. 210kg
2. 225kg
3. 227.5kg FAILED

Bench Press:

1. 125kg
2. 132.5kg
3. 137.5kg FAILED

Deadlift:

1. 285kg
2. 310kg British record
3. 316kg World junior record FAILED

Total: 667.5kg

Another sizeable improvement on my PB total, this time though my flight didn't start lifting until gone 6:00 in the evening! So it was a very tiring competition and was more a test of endurance than strength. There were 3 juniors in my class, and unfortunately I was beaten by 2.5kg! It was a true battle though, coming down to the final lift of the day, but I was glad to leave with an open British record deadlift.

First session back from the world's, nice and easy! Taking a different approach to benching this year, doing more reps on my final set to improve my technique and endurance. Can't hurt to try!
