I have sex with women Member 2122, 310 posts SQ 180, BP 135, DL 220535.0 kgs @ 98kgs UnEq | Post Edited: 15.09.2011 @ 21:19 PM by Harry http://www.exrx.net/Testing/WeightLifting/DeadliftStandards.ht... Now obviously I have read the descriptions but I always thought elite lifters would be a mile ahead in KGs lifted as opposed to the advanced and intermediate class. Im not going to be so ignorant as to compare my DL total (which is 180) to 200KG but I've only been doing Dls, front squats, OH pressing since January and before that not much else except typical commercial gym crap. Yet to be classed as intermediate its several years? 3+ or more? I dont do bench press if anyone is wondering, just DBs Recently I've got ahold of a log and right now Im learning to use it. so are there any other strength comparison sites out there?

Hey mate, my name is Paul Dudley Member 632, 3628 posts SQ 200, BP 155, DL 282.5637.5 kgs @ 77kgs UnEq | No, those are very low standards. For me to be considered 'elite' is ridiculous.

Member 1668, 1499 posts SQ 186, BP 102, DL 211499.0 kgs @ 93kgs UnEq | Those standards are not meant to be used by powerlifters or strongmen; they are for athletes who typically only spend a few months of the year seriously trying to increase their barbell strength.

They're no good. What would be much better would be if they were all almost unattainable so people wouldn't sit back and feel good that they are 'elite'... Having said that though it has been stated that these numbers are pretty low as they are for athletes not devoting much time to strength training...

Don't do yourself down. 265 at 100 is a bloody good deadlift. And if you're still 98 I'll give you elite status on a pro rata basis. Thought the bench numbers were pretty spot on too. 100 Kg lifter would have to do about a paused raw 175 to be elite, and 175 would have been second place in the British Unequipped Bench 105s this year.

So if you keep the weights the same but add 20-30KG on the deadlift, it will be a good standard? Wish there was a front squat comparison!

HORRIBLE MEDLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Member 621, 4744 posts SQ 340, BP 220, DL 335895.0 kgs @ 106kgs Eq | no i think more than 30kg because i dont class myself as an elite deadlifter and for my body weight it says elite is 270kg and i have deadlifted 305kg so im saying MAYBE add 50kg onto the deadlifts and that is close?

Member 13, 14460 posts SQ 230, BP 180.5, DL 262.5673.0 kgs @ 128kgs UnEq Administrator | this isnt powerlifting standards, these are for your average gym goer, in your average gym i would say someone who benches 175kg at 100kgbw is a pretty elite lifter and has obviously been training for a long time

he's got betty davis eyes Member 1684, 6001 posts SQ 250, BP 186, DL 291727.0 kgs @ 118kgs UnEq | I think if they want a chart like that they could realistically say that advanced is what they have down for elite and leave elite out of it. Elite suggests being amongst the very best, those elite weights are not elite. They are good for an average gym goer, but an average gym goer is generally not elite.
