The session started off pretty badly. I nearly threw my dinner up on the first scheduled double and the bar got well stuck in my shorts (no talc on at the time). I decided against going for the second rep because I was pretty sure I would puke.

I managed to get the next two doubles out, with the bin next to me just in case. The last rep of the second double was definitely the hardest lockout I've ever had, so I called it a day there. Assistance work went really well, plus my squat form is finally getting there again.

Jonny - I'm definitely still on for the comp. Hopefully I'll be squatting heavy by then, if not I'll just do what I can and bench/dead heavy. Tokar will definitely be doing it but otherwise I think everyone else is a maybe at the minute.

Squats feel fine mate, just need to keep an eye on how the groin feels the day or two afterwards. As long as I'm patient in gradually adding weight hopefully there won't be any complications. Plus I think using the 'fanny machines' is helping.

Anywhere from 2-3 hours usually. I think I was lifting for about 2 hours tonight, so it wasn't too bad really. I would like to do less but I have to do a lot of stuff for p/rehab unfortunately.

Jonny, I used to play (and manage) Mawdesley United FC. We played in a few tournaments and had quite a few friendlies, most of the team were made up of lads from Leyland. But no, I was referring to Man United Wink

The deadlift PB attempt is 4 weeks away yet, one more go at heavy doubles beforehand then it times to get serious. I would like to get 207.5 at the end of the routine, giving me a nice 20 kilos to hunt down. We'll see how it goes, not squatting heavy means I'm missing out on some leg power.

Jo, I'm not going with Sam unfortunately. Though Joni did voice some interest in going with him (I think it was something along the lines of "he's pretty lean dude..."). By the way, I had plenty more in the tank on the rear delt machine today.

Good session tonight. Bumped into Big49ersfan off MuscleTalk who worked in with us and did some nice pulling.

The rack pulls were really hard; from an absolute DEAD spot as the videos will show. Adam managed to rape the deadlift bar, will post a photo later.
