Another f*cking w*nk session today. Hurt my bicep f8cking about with a sledge hammer at work , thought it was ok by the end of the day so went to the works gym as planned.

95kx cleaned but bicep was killing me and at risk of sounding a fanny I felt dizzy and dropped the weight.

Being a c*nt I tried dropping back to 80k and my stupidity was rewarded by another wave of pain when I cleaned it. I'm now having shooting pains down my bicep into my forearm.

Boar , I was a few days late but I might have come through with that injury as promised.

I cant say it was a crap session today because there was an odd pb here allowing for different equipment etc. but I was dissapointed with some of my fails.

Incline bench
100kx13 - not 45% , maybe about 30%

Stones - over 54" yoke
120kxlap - failed to clear bar
120kxlap - failed to clear bar

The 200kx4 dead was pleasing but p*ssed off at the 222.5 attempts
Stones were gash but still good experience I guess.

Tony had a strong session, had to laugh at the look of disgust on his face that he had to hitch 320k on deads.I would have happily hitched my 222.5k if I could have got it that high.

Awesome deadlifting mate! Incline bench isn't too shabby either, must be making you feel pretty confident about the incline log in the comp.

hopefully ill be having a go on the fat log this week , deadlift still strip mine naked and laughs in its face !!

Cheers mate , I was bit Pissed off with the deads TBH. The 200kx4 was pleasing but the 222.5k wasn't even close. I got spoilt last week with the 220k.Incline with a bar is nothing like the log I found. I use my chest a lot with a bar where as with the skinny log it's mainly tri's. I reckon I should get 6+ with 100k at the comp but I wouldn't like to say how many more. I initially thought the log would be easier than the bar but it's not for me.

The overhead medley is my biggest concern for the comp mate.I really want to go for the heavy set but I fear it will require every lift to be a PB as I just dont see me training with the required weight by comp time. Tony seems confident but he is mad as we all know.

If you have any notion of attempting the light set at the comp I suggest you forget it now.

dont let tony push you into somthing we all can see your incapable of doing , and its not worth risking your back going mental on the deadlift either mate.

in all seriousness - 15 points for all the light ones, can you do 3 of the 5 heavy ??

the dumbell + small log = yes ,just nail the axle at tonys and that'll do !!

just watched your vid mate,could'nt have got any closer with the stone load and 200kx4 is great going especially since your deadlift pb was 190k 2 weeks ago!
plenty of time between now and september to get your overhead up to the heavy standard!
