Sandbag load 120 x40m to 60 inch yoke 3 sets Done. | ||

Could do with some metal plates instead of bumpers at this gym Sumo 16 inch deadlift 170 Straps 220 Belt 250x8 250x15 (mimicking power stairs, will keep this in) Paused box jumps 5x3 Dumbbell side bends 36 3x8 each side with a 12 Dumbbell held overhead in the other hand Done. | ||

Will do a second session this afternoon with the accessories | ||

Done. | ||

Member 3986, 10449 posts SQ 340, BP 200, DL 400940.0 kgs @ 129kgs Eq | UKs Strongest Man 2020 Won't do a full write up as barely anyone reads this Day 1: 450kg yoke 20m no drops allowed Managed about 5m, should be a great event for me but competing at night time seemed to get me and I just couldn't get going, 2nd to last place Max silver dollar deadlift, i managed 440kg which is close to a 20kg PB and good enough for 3rd place, I left it there as I wouldn't have got 2nd Log medley 100-180 hit a fast 3 one motioning them all then had a token effort on the 160 but that was half arsed, I knew a fast 3 would get me to day 2 Day 2: Farmers walk 150kg gas cylinders 40m no drops allowed, 37 seconds, this went brilliantly, no one else finished in either group, perfect start! Arm over arm pull Very rusty on this but came 2nd just completing the course in time Stones 100-160 Didnt need many points so very carefully loaded the 130 in the rain and left it there Final Sandbag loading 100 to 180 Loaded the 140 bag but was the slowest so 4th place Truck pull 7th place need to train this harder, giving away a lot of bodyweight that I need to make up for Dumbbell medley 80-120 Managed the 100kg dumbbell but again was the slowest to do so, 4th place Squat for reps, this was changed as a few guys failed it and they dropped the weight which meant I was out first, hit a very tough 9 reps and then got timed out, 3rd place but got unlucky having to go first Power stairs 200/215/230 Was comfortably in 4th going in but couldn't really catch 3rd as felix was always gonna be good at this, set a decent time just trying to be careful and secure 4th so that worked Overall 4th place, best placing at uks but not what I wanted. Felt really strong but my best events were in the first 2 days so it was always gonna be a slog. Positive overall though, made some big gains so feeling excited for the next phase of training! Going to be doing a 4 week power phase before going back to the deadlift specific phase and working on that 400kg pull | ||
