The equipment and atmosphere is much better to lift heavy weights. Shoulder wasn’t bad at all today. Only hurt on the last 2 sets. I’d like to double 170 in the next few weeks to set me up for a 175kg in comp | ||

I need to find a proper place to deadlift | ||

Don’t really know what happened here. 270 was comfortable. 260kg x 1 Notes Basically deadlift this cycle has been terrible. Half way through the build up my gym owner put 2 inches of foam under the platform which you sink into which puts you at a slight deficit and also seems to have made me lose my power from the ground as I’m quite explosive. To add to that I’ve also had 2 adductor injuries (on the same adductor) which has not left me at 100% for weeks. I’m about 97% but can still feel it the mildest bit. I compete in 13 days now which I’m not particularly looking forward to but I’m just going to get it out of the way and then start from the beginning again with deadlift at Strength Therapy (where Tom Martin trains). I’ve got a big pull in me with no injuries, a good platform and a nice build up | ||
