Aiming for a 250 squat by the end of 2012 Member 1989, 3168 posts SQ 240, BP 140, DL 270650.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | Interesting read. Particularly the proprioception part and the impact it has.

Member 4496, 1446 posts SQ 240, BP 200, DL 300740.0 kgs @ 112kgs UnEq | I wear my belt high on both squats and deadlifts, always have done, and didnt realise I did untill numerous people pointed it out. I simply put it where I feel I need the most support in those lifts, plus I feel I can brace my core alot better with my belt in this higher position. the only exception for me is when doing overhead stuff, I wear it lower because on this lift I feel that is where I need the support. as for the article, cant believe howmuch crap can be written about where to wear your belt. try it in different places and see where you feel it works best, not everyone is the same, simples.

tight in the hole Member 2057, 3121 posts SQ 205, BP 140, DL 260605.0 kgs @ 95kgs UnEq | It helped my deadlift massively when I switched to using a higher position. Felt terrible for squats though.

a splendid chap, unlike some bitches on here Member 1670, 1705 posts SQ 190, BP 112.5, DL 220522.5 kgs @ 89.5kgs UnEq | I tried once, and it pinched the s**t out of my gut. Though it did that when I first started wearing a belt anyway, so probably would just need some time to play around with the position. Looks a little goofy sometimes, but if it adds kilos to the bar...

Member 4522, 1898 posts SQ 222.5, BP 152.5, DL 245620.0 kgs @ 120kgs UnEq | I find my belt most comfortable and effective for deadlift, sitting just above my belly button.

a large fingered spastic that demolishes plant Member 89, 31706 posts SQ 260, BP 220, DL 290770.0 kgs @ 142kgs UnEq | i've been playing around with the belt position that i use and i must say the higher position is better of deadlifts for me and slightly lower for squats has been working well given the position i have the bar placed.

Sports an extremely muscular arse. Member 38, 6253 posts | I've pulled without a belt for so long, it feels horrible when I put one on. So I might try this next time I belt up.
