Axle push press - 1x3x60kg plus whatever the axle weighs (40kg? Felt bloody heavy unloaded)
Split jerks - 1x60kg, 1x70kg, 1x80kg, 1x90kg, 1x100kg
Dips - BW x 12, 9, 5
BB row - 3x10x70kg
Machine rear delt flies - 3x10
DB curls - 3x12x10kg

New Zealand's Strongest Man is this Saturday in Auckland but my friends have gotten tickets to a jazz festival on Waiheke Island that day. Watching dudes lift heavy weights or listen to jazz on the beach? No competition!

Seated left calf raise - 1x12x12.5kg, 2x10x12.5kg

I was doing the power snatches/cleans in just socks because I only have a pair of trail running shoes here and the forefoot of the soles is very unevenly cut for grip on rocks. Not so good for stability during oly lifts. The woman behind the desk gave me a load of s**t and told me to put my shoes back on in case I dropped the bar on my foot. I was tempted to point out that shoes wouldn't stop me breaking my foot if the bar landed on it but it's not worth the effort, so the last few sets of power cleans were pretty iffy as a result of the shoes.

Dips - BWx 12, 9, 5
BB row - 3x10x65kg
Machine rear delt flies - 10x10, 10x9, 10x8
DB curls - 2x10x10kg, 1x8x10kg

Quite like push jerks, they seem stronger than push pressing the same weight but it doesn't feel like I can grind out a rep if it starts to stall.

Great sessions lately. There's a lot of hard training in here. LOL at the no training in socks thing. I bloody hate that s**t in the commercial gyms. Spit and sawdust all the way!

Cheers, guys.

Thing - the Bulgarian split squats hurt so much but my knees have never felt better since I started doing them all the time. Don't have to use much weight if any to really get a good pump and stretch.

Loved today's session, haven't had to grind out heavy reps like that for a long, long time and my legs were shaking like mad after the split squats. The guy behind the desk thinks their trap bar weighs 30kg so that would make it 3 sets of 5 with 180kg, which is nice progress on my numbers from the UK.
