Tonights training

Squats
10 x bar
5 x 60 kg
3 x 100 kg
2 x 120 kg
6 x 3 x 135 kg

Rope crunches, hyperextensions

Second squat session of the week as per the Russian Masters Squat routine. Very tough from the 3rd set onwards but it's my 4th straight day of training and I only competed on Saturday so all's good.
Overall a pretty solid week of training, hopefully more to come

I was thinking in starting the Russian Squat Routine when i finish my current one.

Good job and remember to eat a lot! High intensity training will consume most of your energy for muscle leaving almost nothing for your inmune system, so you need to make sure you have plkenty of energy in your body.

Eat fruits, cereals and rest well (8+ hours if possible)

The proof will be in the pudding on 31st October Malc, that should be the end of the 8 weeks and hopefully a squat PB.

It's good advice but it's sometimes a bit of a struggle getting enough rest, also it can be a bit of a balancing act trying to keep the weight down but getting the calories in for volume training as I'm sure you know.

Flat BBBP
10 x bar
5 x 60 kg
5 x 100 kg
2 x 115 kg

Rack Press
5 x 100 kg
5 x 120 kg
1 x 130 kg (f)

CGBP
2 x 5 x 100 kg
4 x 100 kg

Tricep Pressdowns

Target was 2 x 115 which was comfortable, maybe 4 or 5 there tonight.
The 5 x 120 rack press was more like a 4 + 1, the 130 hardly moved after that.
Looking back through the journal, this time last year I was rack pressing 140 and going for 150 but that was about 10 kg in BW ago.
