Member 4091, 486 posts SQ 142.5, BP 90.5, DL 152.5385.5 kgs @ 56.7kgs UnEq | Yesterday was full of nope. Hit no where near the estimated targets and all hope of a bench record went out the window in the warm up room. I did however take the title and I've still to see where I placed wilks wise. Squat: 140kg, failed double bounced because I thought I wasn't at depth. 140kg, 2 to 1, got called on prempting the refs start signal. I got the lift in though and the nerves eased off a bit. 152.5kg, felt much better than either of the 140kg attempts. I'm disapointed I couldn't hit 160kg today, but it was better to just go to 152.5kg and take a good solid lift rather than risk that big jump. Got shouted at for not listening to the ref (I should know better), not doing my final warm up straps up (125kg, you having a laugh?) and for having a very loose squat suit. I did however hear whispers of "If that's whatt she's doing in a loose suit imagine..." Bench Press: 90kg, perfect, 3 white light and looked like I could still pull off 100.5kg at the end. 95kg, failed, went off line. 95kg, failed, went off line. This was a disaster, I missed 95kg in the warm up so I lowered my opener. A smart choice as it stopped me from bombing. The fact that I touched with 90kg meant the shirt probably wasn't pulled down tight enough. The two 95kg attempts were noticably offline, there was no shirt assistance at the bottom. On the bright side, I managed to get the shirt on and working in a comp, it would have been nice to get near my training weights. Deadlift: 140kg, nae bother. 160kg, bit of a struggle on the lock out but I got it past the knees so my back stayed tight and I could lock it out. 165kg, failed, stopped at the knees. Kept pulling till I got told to put it down. By the time I got to dealift I was much more relaxed, I knew my opener was something I could pull unequipped. Nothing will beat the look on people's faces when the lifting orer changed after putting my second attempt in. Lol 20kg jump. I felt good for 170kg untill the 160kg then decided 165kg was probably a better bet. Also, pulled up for loose suit again. Prepared for a bollocking at the gym on Tuesday for my sub par lifts.

He and I both suffer from the broken arse syndrome quite badly. I'm lucky I'm not as strong as he is and can squat with lighter weight. Also battered some arrogant bjj guy who was upset that standing didn't continue into ne waza. "Oh but ground work is my favourite." Not against me.

Other people are noticing an iprovement more than I am. Front squats are feeling easy, but I'm still having to reset with the rack from my upper back fatiguing. Just not as often. Saturday: Bench Press: 5x6 @70kg 1x6 @72.5kg Close Grip Bench: 1x5 @50kg 1x3 @60kg 1x4 @60kg 1x3 @60kg 1x3 @60kg Deadlift: 5x6 @105kg 1x6 @110kg Chest supported rows: 4x5 @50kg 1x7 @50kg I thought I was in for a nice light day back, but no, bench oress starting at 70kg. Trying to keep my hips higher on my deadlift start so my knees are out the way. Going ok so far, but only at 105kg.

They're harassing their staff something rotten right now. I'm very lucky that I'm looking after my gym in a building that no boss ever goes to and I get to do what I want. I may be the luckiest instructor in Glasgow. Dat every day squatting. It's righteous.
