Bench Warm Up:
5 @40kg
5 @60kg
4 @70kg
4 @80kg

Equipped Bench:
1 @90kg
1 @100kg
1 @102.5kg
1 @105kg
1 @100kg, missed the second, tried pausing 102.5kg but lost it to the side once it was off my chest.

Bench Press:
5X6 @77.5kg

Deadlift:
2 @120kg
5X3 @130kg, back to normal... ish.

Chest Supported Rows:
3X5 @50kg
2X8 @50kg

Back to more acceptable weights on deadlift, did a bit of faffing about with sumo and sumo may be worth a revisit if I keep going down the equipped route. You get much more out of a suit with a sumo stance.

Conventional is still easier though.

80kgx4 is a working set and a decent pb, there was probably 5 there! Shirt work is coming good, plenty of time still to nail a decent safe paused pb. Deads back on track, think 132.5-135 for triples next week. You can experiment with sumo next time not now!

I don't really want to be messing about with sumo until after the last comp of the year, because then I have a nice big gap to try and get somethign out of it.

Last comp of the year is looking like the Scottish Seniors in October, part of me still wants it to be the worlds though Unhappy

Board Press:
1X5 @50kg
1X5 @70kg
1X7 @90kg

Chest supported rows:
5X8 @50kg, as I was rowing I was treated to a pleasant story about some one getting busy with a girl in the gym toilets and being interrupted by others else attempting to perform a drugs test. Sometimes it's very difficult to keep a serious lifting face.

My poor fat legs could barely handle the cycle home.

Got a bit carried away at Judo tonight. We got to continue into ground work during randori and then we got to play winner vs. winner (loser vs. loser) for ne waza randori.

I took no prisoners, left some nasty choke bruises on a couple of people and scored ippon in every round, one of them was difficult and I had to pull a jammy choke to get it.

Why can't I just get the same mentality in contest? I'd be sorted.

Shoulder Press:
30 kg x 5
37.5kg 3 x 6

Front Barbell Squat:
60 kg x 5
75 kg x 3
82.5 kg x 5
82.5 kg 2 x 3, kept collapsing on these, upper back was all like naw. This weight really shouldn't be a problem for me.

Chin-Up:
2 x 4
3 x 3

Chest is still a bit rattly and even though I think I'm getting enough air in I'm probably not. Doctor time!

Equipped Bench:

3 @100kg
2 @100kg
1 @100kg, paused

Bench Press:
3X6 @80kg, first time I'd ever felt dizzy/ breathless from benching. Must means I'm workign hard now.
1X5 @80kg
1X4 @80kg

Deadlift:
2 @125kg
2X3 @135kg
1X2 @135kg
1 @135kg, lower back got pretty knackered quickly
2X5 @120kg

Chest Supported Rows:

It's looking like I might be able to salvage deadlifts just in time. Still not holding out for much over 160kg this time around. It's still enough to be good but not where I think I should be compared to squat and bench press.

This is one of my favourite journals on Sugden at the minute. Lots of quality, no pissing about training.

Nah, there's plenty of pissing about in the gym. I just don't log that.

Shoulder Press:
30 kg x 5
37.5kg 2 x 7
37.5kg 1 x 6
37.5kg 2 x 5

Pin Press:
40 kg 1 x 5
50 kg 3 x 5

Front Barbell Squat:
60 kg x 5
75 kg x 5
80 kg 3 x 5, these were easy, looks like I'll be back tio making gains on front squat

Chin-Up:
2 x 4
3 x 3

Straps up for some deadlifting on Saturday. Hopefully I'll get up to somethign I deem acceptable before I hit some volume with the straps down.
