What every one missed at the worlds was me explaining to Lawrence that fast lock outs are good for breaking people's arms. Probably good for sumo too, but I need to increase my arm breaking capacity, which means stronger hips for throwing through.

Tuesday:

Squat Warm Up: 20x2x5, 60x5, 80x5, 100x3
Equipped Squats: 120x3, 135x1, 150x1, 160x1, 170x1
Squat: 100x3x5
Bench Press: 20x5, 40x5, 60x3, 70x3, 75x3, 65x3x5
Assistance: DB Row & Overhead Lunges




The aim over the next couple of weeks is just to relearn the suits and shirt. I highly doubt I'm going to hit major PBs at the British equipped, just as long as I can hit some at the Euros in may.

Bench Shirt Breaking In: 80x3, 100x2 (3 board and 2 board), 110x1 (2 board), 110x1 (1 board), 120x1 (1 board), 120 (no touch), 130xF (touched but went off line at least I can support it in a locked out position)
Assistance: inverted row, pull-up, plank




Wednesday:

Getting coached for a BJJ comp by a judo coach. Both banned from international competition now :P

Mainly working on the transition into ground work to make sure I'm keeping control and not doing stupid stuff. Probably going to end up doing drop seoi nage any way because I'm a fud that forgets it's far from the best throw for me.

Also tried to snap my own neck in my sleep last night. Heat and stretching has got me most of my mobility back and I'm hoping to be ok (if a bit fat) for my wee bjj outing tomorow.

Made weight in my judo gi, but kept ending up 2 points down in everything. I keep forgetting about the point scoring system because I'm still very much throw, hold, submit. Rather than pull guard and fanny about changing position and waiting for a count of three.

I am a fragile wee girl, I need points scoring. Untill I can get back into the habbit of arm lock from any where then I can resume business as usual.

Have you learnt many leg locks?


One that I'd done as part of "kata me no kata" for my judo first dan theory, but I've never used it in practice or drilled any practical applications.

It's very much throws, holds, chokes and arm locks. I do know one shoulder crank that I've had luck with in practice because people are getting tired of my arm locks.

Not yet, I've only been doing the basics. I've had some of the guys pull on body triangles, ankle locks and various other things that I'll hvae never seen before in my life.

There's been a big push to try and get me going to the advanced classes on top of the fundamentals so I can get to grips with the things I just won't know.

But powerlifting is kind of more important right now.
