No day before weigh-in this year lads sorry ..

If we was going to do that then I would of wanted to make it transparent from the start .. I feel it would be unfair ..

Thank f**k! Saves me a good few quid because with the option I would deffo have gone for it and had to stop over or rape a load of petrol.

Who's up for stopping over on the night of the comp and having an after party???

It's bank holiday Monday the day after so a lot of you must be off work.

I'm up for staying the night, who's finding a hotel for us then?

Re: 24 hour weigh in

Does anyone actually think it's needed for the 90's?

If your 96kg+ then your good to do 105's in my opinion, any less then you can easy drop a bit of weight.

I just don't see the point myself...

I can't believe all you skinny t**ts are complaining about weigh-ins when i'm not only the heaviest, but have to lose an extra kilo to fit in your weight class limey bas***ds...

Yes i will be staying over the night for what i feel is the real challenge to prove that Americas can drink with the best in the world haha.

I'll get Mrs P on it Macca.

I'm not a big fan of 24hr weigh in because I think it makes a mockery of having weight classes but I dont see why there should be any distinction between U90 and U105. If 105's are having 24hr weigh in then 90's should too IMO. Again I dont want 24hr weigh ins, I just dont see why it would be different for u90k. Using your logic Macca most of the lads who did the Northern 105k comp should just do open compsWink

I also agree with this .. I don't think it would take me much to compete at 90kg with a day before weigh-in .. Not that I would but some might .. Im very interested in keeping it under 90kg . Look at Kev ! The poor f**ker had bulked upto 82 kg ... I think we owe it to the little guys to keep it morning weigh in ..

The bigger guys always have the option of 105ks .

After this weekend at the northerns, I totally agree, dieting and cutting is for boxers and cage fighters, only my opinion but think health wise it's better and makes for a better comp day when everyone is on top form

Not really Paggers,

From 105kg you have only got the option of the open weight class so if you're 110kg you could quite easily be giving up 50-60kg of bodyweight to other competitors.

This is a massive incentive to drop some weight (if you can) and compete at u105kg.

If your tipping the scales at 96-97kg then the most you would be giving up would be 10-15kg should you choose to compete at u105kg.

Not the same thing at all really

Hmmmmm I see your point regarding the bigger jump in weight between someone 110k and the average open competitor.I still think that if your going to have weight categories then the same rules should apply.I'm not moaning or anything, I'm more than happy to weigh in on the day. I wont be chaining myself to Salt Ayres railings and demanding equal rights for under 90's ...or will I...Grin

For what it's worth I don't believe in day before weigh- ins for 105kgs either ..

Coming from my Olympic background and 15 years of competing all over the world I never seen this concept used once but what do Olympic Sports know ?

i was talking to a lad last night who does MMA ...he is fit as f**k and not an ounce of fat (much like myself) and he says he cuts atleast 14lb for fights !!

i would prefer a same day weigh inn ... this all started with the euro beasts and the u105

anyhoo , i cant wait for this comp ..everyone should come and see how us little 'uns tear it up !!
