Weight
14 7 3/4lb/92.61kg

Squat
20kg x10
70kg x8
120kg x5
170kg x3 @8
192.5kg x3 @9 PB
170kg 2x2 @8.5, 9

Didn't feel as good as last weeks. Might have to up the weight on my 5x5 a bit quicker to ensure I'm getting the supercompensation from the volume. 5kg jumps from 150kg onwards to 165kgish I reckon over the next 4 weeks maybe.

Bench Press
20kg x10
40kg x8
60kg x5
82.5kg 3x8ish @8,8, 10
100kg x1 @9.5

Last set of 82.5kg John was spotting and reckons I hit 10 reps, I had it at 8. Either way he had to take the bar as I'd lsot all semblance of tightness and was struggling to lock out the bar.

Bent over Rows
40kg 5x10

Hammer Grip Lat Pulldowns
20kg 5x10

Wide Grip Lat PD
20kg 2x10

Scapula Rows
6kg 2x10

One Arm Cable Row
12.5kg 2x10

Also did some light cable curls superset with tricep pushdowns for dat dere pump.

Need to keep on top of that levator scapulae trigger point.

180kg x3 @8

Nice and fast, happy with technique

Squat
20kg x10
40kg x8
60kg x8
100kg x5
122.5kg x10 @ 7, 7.5, 8

Every set my balls got squashed by my boxers on the first few reps.

Bench Press
20kg x10
40kg x8
60kg x5
80kg x5
90kg x4, x5 @8, 9

Meant to get 5 on my first set of 90kg but I got some kind of abdominal cramp so bad I thought I'd got a hernia

CGBP, Feet On Bench
20kg x10
40kg x8
60kg x5
70kg x3 @8

Recommended by Jordan to start doing these. Stopped mainly down to wobblyness than strength

Wide Grip Bench
20kg x10
40kg x8
60kg x5
70kg x3 @8

Superset with CGBP

Also did some T bar row, paused chest supported rows and face pulls.

Happy with the speed. Want to get my back less rounded and sort that lockout before it starts becoming a hitch.

Stiff leg would help with the lockout.

A belt would help with the rounding but I know you've tried that before.

I disagree with some of the previously mentioned things about deadlift. are you competing soon? perhaps at the classic? if so then leave it until after then. however...

you are rounding your back from the start position onwards because your body wants to take some of the load off your weak hamstrings and put in on your "stronger" back, however the hitch at the top could be because your back isn't actually strong enough to extend without the hitch.

stiff leg deadlifts will both strengthen your hamstrings and your lower back in the rounded position. this would make you stronger at deadlifting with the same technique as you are now however you might want to consider changing your technique to a less rounded one. if you did choose this option flat back deficits could be joey

I've done stiff legs semi regularly before, with no massive impact on my conventional. I've not tried deficits before. However I'm hesitant to work in deficits at this moment in time given that I seemingly cannot flat back from the floor, never mind from a deficit. I'd have to argue that fixing form dysfunction should take the precedence in which case my second deadlift day will be more conventional from the floor focusing on correct form.

Why not have both sessions doing it properly? Does it matter if it takes a year to have good technique?

Technique session with Jordan. Worked on my arch and then tried some feet up 5 count paused bench

Bench Press
20kg 2x10
40kg 2x10
60kg x5
80kg 2x5
90kg x1
100kg 2x1 @8, 8.5
105kg F
100kg x1 @9
95kg x4 @10

Lots of work on my arch, and trying not to move once I'm into position.

Feet Up CGBP, 5 count pause
60kg x2
70kg x2
80kg x1 @7
90kg x1 @8
100kg x1 @9

Lost my balance on the 100kg and ended up sticking a foot off, but it moved very fast. These felt really tight and solid, other than some instability from having the feet up. Going to bring my grip in on my benching now and see where that gets me.

To clarify, that's what I meant. I was emphasising that the second session won't be a special assistance.

Painful.

Also tried pullovers, they don't feel good.
