A member for 10 years and still no mouldy peanuts Member 1252, 4479 posts SQ 160, BP 110, DL 215485.0 kgs @ 98kgs UnEq | I do it if I ever jump straight to the bar. Warm up with 10s on dumbbells from 2.5kg up to 7.5kg. It can also mean your traps are significantly pushing the weight up, so try pinning your shoulder blades together and down when pressing.

I did it earlier this year. I couldn't sleep for a week with the pain. My tip...don't do it anymore.

Who said it's hardcore? Member 3896, 847 posts SQ 265, BP 150, DL 320735.0 kgs @ 128kgs UnEq | It goes quickly. Massage the area a little to release any knots and you should be fine.

Kettlebells RULE !!! Member 3699, 407 posts | I did it warming up with the bar. I didn't sleep for a week but it pretty much went away on its own and I'm pretty much non-the-wiser what happened even having consulted multiple 'professionals' who all disagreed. Really uncomfortable!

Member 3241, 2043 posts SQ 1, BP 192, DL 255448.0 kgs @ 136kgs UnEq | Done this many a time but for me the trapped/impinged nerve has been in my lower neck/shoulder blade however the pain feels like it's in your neck and even lower back at times My advice will always be get yourself to a decent Osteopath ASAP and get your neck/shoulders released. A few days light training and you'll be sorted and as good as new
