Deadlift

Squat
60 x 5
100 x 5
142.5 x 5 x 2
(pushed for time today so slacked a bit with the warm up sets, hence the first 3 working sets were a bit ropey)

Front squat
90 x 5
100 x 3
107.5 x 5

Bench
60 x 10
100 x 5
112.5 x 1
117.5 x 5 x 5
(first couple of sets were a bit ropey – see above)

Had to put bench and squats together today as I am not in the gym tomorrow so would have missed my bench session

Squats
60 x 2 x 5
100 x 5
140 x 3
152.5 x 5 x 5
A few of these were a little tentative which made them too ‘backy’ – must have more confidence
Supersetted with

Bench
80 x 5
100 x 3
112.5 x 5 x 2 (all paused and all nice and snappy)

Front squat
77.5 x 5
90 x 5
102.5 x 1 (should have been 7 or 8)
Nothing left in my legs at all after the back squats.

Pleased with this session, simply because I got to the gym when I didn’t feel like it

Hi Tony - getting some consistency in your training again.
Will we see a return to the platform in 2013?

Yep. Got a plan of attack now Neil. Lancs and Cheshire in May. Hopefully get to the Classic nationals in October and then PSUK in November. Really looking forward to 2013 and hopefully posting up some respectable numbers

No squatting yesterday as I had some issues with my right SI joint. Getting my new Grid roller tonight, so hopefully that should sort it out a bit. Benching today though

First session of 2013

bench
50 x 5
60 x 5
80 x 3
100 x 3
110 x 1
120 x 5 x 6
100 x 6

Pleased with the benching as I thought a couple of weeks off might have damaged my already poor lifting. Apparantly not though.. Grin
