not old ..... experienced. Member 170, 517 posts SQ 270, BP 180, DL 270720.0 kgs @ 125kgs Eq | First lifted a barbell above my head in 1975 at the ripe old age of 13 and haven't stopped since so that's an awful lot of training under the bridge.

technical retard Member 172, 36827 posts SQ 310, BP 205, DL 335850.0 kgs @ 108kgs UnEq | I would like to think I'd be at it well into old age That being said, I cant see me squatting till a ripe old age...knee is sore as f**k every day at 30!

I personally prefer the stiffest possible. Member 158, 3110 posts SQ 170, BP 107.5, DL 222.5500.0 kgs @ 67.4kgs UnEq | I am not far off 34 and training for me has kept me in good shape (better shape now than when I was in my early 20s). As long as I am fit enough I will always train. Whether I will still compete and pursue absolute strength I do not know.

Grass fed Member 1147, 7710 posts SQ 220, BP 185, DL 272.5677.5 kgs @ 113kgs UnEq | I don't train cause I'm good at it(clearly), I train cause I like it When I'm older I'll tone it down, and drop a lot of bodyweight, but I'll never stop

a cynical old scrote Member 68, 6845 posts SQ 255, BP 132.5, DL 250637.5 kgs @ 110kgs UnEq | I'm 43 in the next few weeks, and am still enjoying my training / lifting. Should be fit enough to lift in the Northern Open at the end of November, and whilst my aims are a fair bit away from what they were only a couple of years back, i have learned that sometimes you are as well judging yourself against your peers rather than what you would like to be doing. You simply cant do in your 40's what you did in your 20's unfortunately. I can see me competing until the British Masters next year (all being well), and then i will take it from there. I think i will make a move to a more fitness / conditioning focus at some point in the future, but with some moderate lifting in there as well, it's too much fun to stop completely.

Member 2751, 37 posts SQ 130, BP 100, DL 150380.0 kgs @ 98kgs UnEq | I'm 30 and only started weight training 6 months ago. I'd dearly love to get my lifts up to something respectable but I'm not sure if that will ever happen due to the late start. I really enjoy the training though, so for that reason I don't think I'll stop no matter how embarassing my numbers are.

Silver Surfer Member 163, 321 posts SQ 0, BP 95, DL 095.0 kgs @ 80kgs UnEq | Still around Martin,Took a year off competitive lifting last year to put all my efforts in retaining my British Masters M7 Shot Put title, which I did by a whisker.Making that three outdoor and two indoor titles in a row. I believe motivation is the key. Find new challanges. With that in mind I plan to try to master throwing the discus properly (without falling on my arse after delivery!!).Have another go at the old gits bench record and to enter my first ever full power event....... unequipped of course, all in 2012. Good to see you doing well Martin. Silver Oldie age 72...oh and a half
