100kgx1 Nailed it after concentrating on form and breathing. Pleased with that was only expecting 95 at best.

I've heard that these can be a bit of a divisive issue in the strength community!

What are your opinions? I've been told that this style would suit me better as I have a long torso and shortish legs.

Sounds like a trapped nerve in your neck combined with tendonitis. I get this off and on. A Chiropractor should be able to free the nerve. Go to a decent one with a good rep. Re. tendonitis, rest/going lighter unfortunately.

I'm disappointed in this. Only a 5kg improvement. I suppose it should be no surprise as I've been messing around lately instead of sticking to a programme.

I buggered about a bit on the bench press then went to work. I'll test bench on friday.

Second this! It worked for me for the same problem. It still comes back now and again but its an easy fix every time.

Squat today.

Really short session this morning late for work etc.

Squat
Warmups then 115kg 3x5. As with last week I felt like I had more in the tank.

Starting Madcow on Monday. It seems to be a bit less bodybuilderish and heavy sets are used sparingly which should prevent any burnout.

Bench 82.5kg 2x5 3x3 I thought it was just tiredness last week but alas no I'm just weak. Getting frustrated with this. Ive been at it over 6 months and I thought I'd be repping with 100kg by now. I think a 5kg reset is in order.
Rows 72.5kg 5x5
Close grip bench 57.5 3x5

Had to cut it short today due to time constraints. I might stick with abbreviated sessions for a while.

I wouldn't squat heavy on deadlift day. Nice and light, more as a technique reinforcement than anything.

Deadlifts today.
Deadlift 2x5 125kg 1x3 125kg left hand grip let me down on the last set. Stuck for now.
Light squats 85kg 3x10
chins 3xfailure
SLDL with 35kg dumbells(all the barbells were in use) 3x10.
I'm starting to notice a pattern here. If the gym is busy, my lifting is s**t.

Really interesting topic. I might have a go at the Vegan diet. My wife has been veggie/vegan from the age of 14 and i've always been tempted to join her.

FRiday Squats

Squat 5x5 110kg Felt like nothing really pleased with these today.
Glute Ham raises 3x8 getting better at these.
Plate loaded leg press 150kg 4x12.
Situps with 20kg dumbell.

This morning Overhead Press.

OHP 4x5 52.5kg 1x4 52.5kg (Nearly.. I'll get it next time)
Seated dumbell Press 20kg 4x10
Lateral Raises 20kg 4x10
Front Raises 18kg 4x10
Narrow Grip Bench Press 3x10 50kg
Curls 3x10 35kg.

Bench yesterday.

Bench press 82.5kg 2x5 1x3 1x3 1x3 (Felt really heavy compared to 80kg last week. I'm hoping it was something to do with me being kept late at work and training before I'd eaten.)
Bent Rows 5x5 70kg
Inc Dumbell Bench Press 4x10 w/20,22,25,27.5kg
Face pulls 4x10 70kg on stack.
Tricep extensions 30kg 4x10

I felt rubbish throughout.
