160/110/195 = 465K

Made weight without too much trouble however I pulled my lower back on Monday (although didnt know it at the time). This hadnt really healed by the time of the comp. I had problems stabilising my back and it effected my squats and deadlifts.

Squat
  • 150K
  • 160K
  • 165K FAIL

150K felt ok but hurt, 160K was harder and again hurt. 165K, I unracked it and in an attempt to keep as upright as possible the bar just fell off my back before I was even given the "Squat" command. I ended up on the floor, luckly I got away with just a bit of a scuff on my back as the bar slipped off.

Bench
  • 100K
  • 105K
  • 110K PB

All went well here, 110K was a little wobbly, and I got a 2-1 pass.

Deadlift
  • 185K
  • 195K
  • 200K FAIL

Even the 60K warmup was hurting. originally was opening on 195K, but dropped it to 185K, I warmed up to 180K. 185K was quite hard. 195K was almost impossible. 200K I think got about an inch off the floor.

I came 2nd but was a long way behind.

Need to heal up and get things back on track.

Really good comp, the 2 platforms worked very well. Another great comp organised my Paul Rees and his team.

Good lifting mate especially as you had a back injury, I thought you'd hurt youself on that last squat.

I did some light (50K) half squats and they felt OK. Back starting to feel a tiny bit better than it was.

No problems here

Tried a few DLs at 70K but back hurt at lockout, it seems any small amount of hyper extending is hurting. Hopefully be back doing some light DLs properly next week.
