feel like hell today, hacking up stuff all the way the the gym
18 inch Deads 235kg for 3reps, 250kg for 3reps(my previous 1rm), 265kg for 2reps PB, should have had 3 or 4, but kinda stumbled at the top of the 2nd rep, lost my breath, and started coughing, so just stopped
Shrugs 150kg, sets of 11, 10 + 10
Calves-some

actually today they were a hell of a lot better, finally seemed to get some sort of a groove going, 265 farly flew up, after it moved that first horrible inch, just needs more practice. My floor dead has actually started comin along since i brought these in

just a couple of times, did a single at 110 with no arms, good snap. About 2 months back just missed a push press from the front with 130, got 120 easy, so I think I should be around 125-130.
Not really sure how to go about it, cos I've got a 110 log at the bernard castle event first, so I need to concentrate on that really
Would be good to understand the rules though, you are allowed a split????

I have log at the NEC show, then BTN PP at UKs, log at Unit 20 SM North Qual and then the medley at FITT.The way I'm doing it is to train BTN PP as my main movement and then have another main, but accessory main; for NEC DB for reps, for others jerk or clean and jerk.
Then on the weekends I'll train log and press medley as part of events.
My understanding of the rules is that you can split, but not double dip.

I currently do cg bench as a main in the week, and log at the unit on sunday
perhaps I should change to BTN PP as the main mid week, changing to cg bench as a sup
not sure how I'll cope with 2 shoulder workouts in a week, never tried that before!

Thing is with jerk there isn't much shoulder involvement, and neither should BTN PP if you're getting good drive into it. If you leave plenty of room between pressing workouts you'll be fine. Even with training press on events day (Sunday) I'm still fine to train overhead on a Tuesday.
I train triceps on a separate day so don't need to worry about trying to fit triceps in on the same day as shoulders. This was I can focus all my efforts into overhead stuff, maybe another pressing movement and also oly stuff.
For instance here is what I did yesterday:
BTN Push Press
Standing Strict BB Press
Incline DB Press
Power Snatch
Hang Clean
Lat Raises

while I'm not sure I have quite your recovery abilities, you are right in what you say that BTN PP shouldn't be too taxing on the shoulders, and hey, there are no prizes for a big close grip bench, so I am gonna change it this week

for anyone who fancies giving me a hand, but most importantly Drew!
been thinking about this further, and was thinking that maybe I could perform the BTN PP at the start of my CGbench workout, as a primer, as it shouldn't tax my pressing muscles too much, but I really like the way my CGbench has been improving, and believe it is really helping my tri strength, so don't want to take focus from it
I do 5,3,1 and think this could work in a similar way to performing power cleans before your main squat or dead? (recomendation from Wendler in the ebook)
Any thoughts would be welcome

Doing that shouldn't cause a problem, but expect the CG Bench to drop a little as you're available energy isn't going to be as high.
How many times do you train a week currently and what's the breakdown?

Looks like a distinct lack of upper back work there. I like having a separate pressing day than just relying on press on events day.
For instance, if I didn't have a log or press medley in comps after the UK Qual, I wouldn't train press at all on event day and just focus on the other events; stones, medleys etc.
Just seems a bit empty to me.
