Robbo, the not eating till 11 is in the hope that I'll burn a wee bit more fat with a longer overnight fast, and really after a few days of doing it, its not an issue to not eat till then for me

Its OK gorilla, when I do eat, I eat like a KING, so I don't feel too bad, last nights dinner was a plate full of goat chops and mash, I was a happy man!

Nice, would buy it again, and as the chops were small, it made me feel like a giant, which I like

Out to the park with Gemma and kettle bells

20 swings with the 32 kg, sprint about 60m
Managed 3 rounds before my back pumped too much from yesterdays stuff

Gemma used the 20 kg, and though her reps fell off on the swings, she managed 5 rounds

I always thought a bit of food upon waking is good at kick starting your metabolism which in turn can help burn more cals but maybe the fasting thing also works.

Metabolism apparently 'wakes' as everything else wakes and melatonin I released as sun light hits the eyes

Or rather when you wake, everything wakes

On a slight note just tried making bubble and squeak. I know you love a potato cake. I added flour and it still fell apart. Any tips?

Prolonging the overnight fast may actually increase rates of fat loss as a response to increase amplitude of growth hormone and norepinephrine levels, which increases metabolic rate and lipolysis. Growth hormone has protein and glycogen sparing effects too and the combination of the increase in energy expenditure/metabolic rate in response to norepinephrine levels equals greater fat loss and muscle sparing effects.....in theory but generally in practice too as fas as I have seen and read.
Studies have shown a variety of supporting results i.e. a group that had carbs for breakfast stored more fat from subsequent meals compared to the group that ate the carbs later, another showed that having the majority of calories later on resulted in greater fat loss than the group that had their calories earlier, both groupd lost weight but the early fed group actually lost more lean mass!!

Essentially, breakfast is over-rated!

Feeling rough last night, lower back and glute DOMS were ridiculous
Strict
85 kg for 9
105 kg for 3, all over the shop
Push press
115 kg for 5, easy

Bench, nothing in the tank now
145 kg for 5
165 kg for 1

Seated OH lock outs
100 kg, 3 sets of 3

Log grip machine shoulder press, 3 sets

Today, had to train at 7 am because of preparations for the stag do I'm going on this weekend
as last night was rubbish, and I got very little sleep, kept it simple

Front squats, 85 kg, 3 sets of 5, paused, to warm up, and help stretch my hip, which no longer hurts, but won't really move how it should, lots of stretching required

Chins, 5,5,5,5,4,4,4,4,4,4

Bb curls, 5 sets of 12

Not much time, so tried a conditioning circuit that involved 1 min on a spinning bike, but that ruined me

No sleep, sluggish
Strict
85 kg for 8
105 kg for 3
Push press
120 kg for 4, failed the 5th

Bench
145 kg for 6+1 spotted
165 kg for 1

No time as I had a duck in the oven

60kg challenge, did the 7, started the 8, then stopped as I had no desire to continue, not blowing hard or anything, but started sweating more than I ever have before..
