» Dave Tate twitter shytstorm bench shirt under t-shirt (Go to post)06-01-2013 @ 16:51
Certain people passed around a photo of me at the SuperTraining meet wearing a black shirt underneath a grey shirt. That is fact. It looks bad, that is fact. I was wearing a black Berea Barbell Tshirt sized XL, as I always bench like that, and Jessie Burdick gave me a CSA Gym shirt. Out of respect to Jessie I put it on in front of everyone there just as I was about to bench. The picture not shown is me walking around talking to other lifters, Cara Westin at the scorers table, and a picture of the two shirts sticking out the back of my singlet. Everyone I have spoken to at the meet laughs this off, but a few people like to cause problems and that's their deal. I benched 540 lbs. in May at 305 lbs. in a cutoff Elite Cock Strong Tshirt, all my training videos are up online, I benched 565 lbs. in my Berea Barbell tshirt the week before California. I weighed 328 in California and benched 33 lbs more than in May. Not to mention Pat Helber handed off to me in Columbus, and while I trained at Lexen and benched 'mid 5's there routinely. On to Dave's post I messaged him about it because as Billy said a lot of people think they know stuff, and Dave's reply was this "I was not referring to you." And to paraphrase the rest a lifter was seen to be wearing a shirt with a clear Inzer logo on the sleeve. Now if anyone has further questions
I would recommend messaging Jesse Rogers, Mark Bell, Cara Westin, or Jessie Burdick. For those of you that spread speculation as fact it sucks but that's how the world is. Thank you.

Yeah we wouldn't want people actually getting good in this equipment nonsense....
Or perhaps when you lift you have to do both. Or bonus points for those strongest raw.

I like this

Quoted from IPF website
"Answering the overwhelming popular demand coming from lifters, officials and fans, the IPF proudly announces the coming of the IPF Classic Powerlifting World Cup.
What is Classic? It is basically a raw (unequipped) event cutting back to the true traditions of powerlifting. Detailed technical rules will follow in due course."

So making knee wraps twice as thick as was allowed and putting tennis balls behind the knees is unequipped? You can bet that all the guys back in the day would use any of the modern advantages that we have today.

Powerlifitng has always had equipment and always will, people need to get over it and stop thinking that not using it is somehow "better."

Unequipped.
What are your unequipped lifts Rob?

Why!?

We are talking about powerlifting as a sport and it has never been unequipped.

What made you choose to lift with the BPO/WPF as opposed to IPF or WDFPF?

My training partner lifted for them, so just lifted there. Going to do some GBPF comps next year I think.

But what the hells going om with the WPF? i looked at the results and all i could see was British lifters and possibly 30 from abroad?

It's all politics man. Some bulls**t about the former president being replaced and him not being happy so trying to start a "new" WPF.

Perfectly fine!
Sumo, just wrong!
Anyway, my original question was is anyone close to Andy and benny ie pull more than 430?

So you're saying you would rather see someone do that than deadlift sumo?...

Maybe if you did some sumo pulls you would be able to finish that.
