One Sexy MoFo Member 101, 2470 posts | Hello mate, Your goals for April are far from unrealistic. I'm the same height as you and weigh a fair bit more, yet most of that will be down to fat! Eat big (and clean) for the next 6 months and you'll easily reach your goals. I wouldn't worry too much about straying beyond your weight class boundaries either, certainly not for the next 4 months. I think you're setting your sights low to be honest, mate. Whereabouts do you train anyway? Where's Purbeck?!

Deadlift (using small diameter plates, so the bar is about 1inch closer to the floor)
Overall an odd session, squats were rubbish and I felt really drained and just wanted to go home. However once I got deadlifting, every set I felt better and better. It was like having a hulk hogan moment. The focus really is on adding weight almost every week. Paul

One Sexy MoFo Member 101, 2470 posts | What part of the country is that then?! I'm from London, so my knowledge of anything is pretty crap. I hope you're not limiting your eating with the aim of staying within the 75kg category; I really believe you'd be denying yourself some big progress by doing that.

One Sexy MoFo Member 101, 2470 posts | Originally posted by paul_richards... how much do you think I could "stray" weight wise There are far more experienced members on here than myself, so perhaps you'll get a more informed answer in a day or two! Personally, I wouldn't even be worrying about weight classes at 75kg and 5'7". Even if you happen to go up closer to 82.5kg by April, I believe your lifts would've improved by a far greater amount (even proportionately speaking) than if you limit yourself to 75kg. I'm not saying get fat in the slightest, I just think you should eat big & clean for the next 4 months or so, watch your lifts shoot up, then step on the scales and assess a few weeks before the comp.
