Cheers guys, I think after having 360kg on my back last week on the yoke 200 just felt comfy enough, plus the 300kg partial as I didn't adjust the yoke height from Kev's runs until 360. Grin

thats right, blame the little guy...
AvatarBen_F
Not blaming - thanking! Thought "hmmm if I can partial 300 I gotta be able to do something with 200!". Will find something to blame on you though.

Great squatting mate. Looking good for 250 in wraps?
AvatarBen_F
Cheers JC. Dunno about the wraps, I do have some but have never used them, got them out of my bag yesterday but dont know how to put them on.lol. The two times I have worn wraps Mark Haydock put his on me. Will maybe go for a unequipped (belt only) PB next time I am at Olympic or something as it looks like I will have to miss the Lanc Uni meet due to work.

Ben, is Mark Haydock competing in America this month in some wierd lifts comp? Nothings doing on RAD forum, otherwise I would have asked there. (he should post on here-would be great inspiration to many) Cheers.

He did the IAWA Worlds in America a month or two ago and won (was close though). I think he might be doing an IAWA record Breakers comp' in Scotland sometime soon (but with baby on way he might not be able to). Its mostly "odd lifts" in IAWA, i don't know what half of them are but they also do a powerlifting meet an the Midlands Olympics (pretty sure Mark won both of them as well).
AvatarPeteHodgson
Cheers Ben. Is he not interested in doing any more strongman stuff? SSM2? or the Adlington push pull? Oh yeah, babies due soon isn't it. He may struggle to get in his 100 hours training a week he seems to do fo a while! ha ha
AvatarBen_F
Pete, I think he his just happy lifting at the IAWA comps which don't take forever to get through, small friendly bunch etc... I'd love to see him at the push & pull and SSM2 but can't see it at the moment.

Squats

60 x 10
100 x 6
140 x 5
180 x 5
200 x 5
200 x 5
200 x 4

Close Grip Bench (long pause and explosive as possible)

60 x 6
80 x 6

Was not in the mood to train so nailed heavy caffeine/pre-workout supplements and then when got to 200 on squats went internal and dug deep, they felt heavy today but more reps on sets 2 ad 3 than last week - so very happy with that. Bench - just trying to ease back to some kind of form as long as shoulder feels okay.
Avatarrichards9876
Wish i was squatting 200kg for reps on a bad day.

Solid work Ben.
AvatarWILLSAN
nice squats ben! surely your 1RM will be way more than 215 with 5s at 200?
Avatarjamiea
your squats are now as silly as your bench mate one day i`ll catch you up Grin
