He has potential to do crazy things on the log.

Maybe even 214kg as a goal for him now.

He is a f**king animal,especially at pressing.

Larry with more time and weight could break world record Imo.

I’d say that’s a bold prediction but his progression is so rapid I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised

Did anyone see Thor’s lifts of 202kg on the log?

It’s almost like Thor and Shaw have swapped pressing abilities.

It was hardly "controlled" at the top.

Bet Larry was buzzing inside having already surpassed the WSM on a core exercise. If Larry can improve his clean and with a few more weeks/months log pressing experience he's really going to be a force to be reckoned with.

Thor has done a huge deadlift recently and the second rep went up well. With rest he will be good to go.

But if Shaw and Thor both go for 501 i can see them being f**ked for the rest of the show.

He hasn't surpassed him. If you prep correctly for a strongman comp when you do your heaviest lifts you are f**ked up, and Thor is exactly that. He's been log pressing twice a week plus doing heavy stone to shoulder, pushing the sled with arms pressed which again is very heavy, lot of dumbbell pressing, heavy inclines etc

This is what he's meaning when he says its about peaking at the right time. After deloading for the comp he will be much fresher and stronger

None of Thor’s heavy logs have looked properly locked out for the last few weeks. Hope he doesn’t get any gifts at the Arnold’s

Surely you are f**ked up in the days AFTER your heaviest lifts? Confused

I guess Thor isa big enough newb that he'd over exerted himself on the log in the days previous to doing the 202kg, unlikely I think. He's just not looking that comfortable with it at the moment.

I think Thor will go for 501 and Brian will play it safe.

to be fair if Brian goes for it, it won't leave the floor so he will be safe enough.

I think Thor might have the strength to get it moving, but I can't see him getting it (hope I'm wrong).

Yes I was wrong about Eddie not getting 500, but Ed was f**king speed repping 450 during training.

Overextending himself isnt the right way of thinking of it but he 100% did not do that log fresh, far from it, and that in no way would be a newb thing to do, it's the exact right thing to do. This literally means he will peak for the show and be his strongest then, not in training.
