Strengthshop make a 58, I got told its not a proper replica but the diameter is 0.04 inches less than the inch handle so im counting it Tongue I found a guy that snatched the 64 though so thats my next goal. Thanks for the reply mate

No worries. Who snatched the 64kg? Got a vid? Think I power cleaned it a couple times f**king about at iron pit after training a while back but think would need a helmet to attempt to snatch it haha

Forgot to say in the review, what ive done with Becca is allowed her to eat a little bit in this prep/phase, which has meant she has put on a lot of muscle, but also a lot of fat. This isn't ideal, but with Becca's genetics I don't seem to have any other choice. For UK's she was hardly eating at all, well under 1000 calories a day plus lot of cardio and training. This was the only way she could lose weight. In this prep she's been maybe having 1250 a day, possibly 1500 some days. It's obviously very little food for someone her size but for her that's causing a lot of weight gain and of course much better strength gains so now it's a case of cutting for strong woman comp she has coming up.

A guy called Sam Chesney, it was years a go apparently, he just says he has massive hands but I don't think he's that strong in general, haven't got a vid of his.

Meh can't find anything from that name so I'd class you as the first personally.

European grip championships 2017 write up

Sorry but I'm not sure on my placings for the individual events.

Event 1 - brutalizer 60mm rolling handle

Warming up this felt a lot like the fast spinning handle we have used with fat gripz on, just slightly thicker. Didn't feel like the 2.5" crusher, had more spin to it. I did to 82.5kg in the warm ups, which felt like it was tough so I went 80kg, 82.5kg and then unfortunately as I got the down signal on 85kg I managed to drop it. Two guys went to 95kg for new world record.

Event 2 - Vulcan gripper 20mm block set

Being that I had injury to my arm for almost all of the prep this was an event I couldn't really train much for so was not sure what I could do. Went to level 18 in warm ups and it felt very easy. Opened on level 20 which again felt very very easy. Went to level 22 and for some reason it felt like twice as heavy. Went down to level 21 and unfortunately it was out of position and I couldn't get it all the way shut. Eirik managed to get that level so I didn't win.

Event 3 - ironmind blockbuster pinch block

Warmed up to 43.4kg and felt like more was there. Opened up at 42.5kg and it felt crazy easy, went to 45kg and whatever reason it felt way way heavier and I missed at lockout twice. This may possibly have been heavier as the calibrated weight numbers were being took afterwards. Another world record was set here with an 47.85kg lift.

Event 4 - Ironmind silver bullet

Only one attempt allowed and the particular #3 gripper we had was a really hard one so a lot of guys were struggling to get much time. Again because of the injury I haven't been able to get my right hand to strength so I had to use my off hand on this. Managed just under 37 seconds. The best time was around 1 second more.

Event 5 - meat hook deadlift

Only got to go to 180kg in warm ups, but felt ok. Ended up getting all 4 attempts successfully on this but maybe could have gone slightly heavier. Did 240, 260, 270, 280kg. Another world record was set on this with a 300kg lift.

Overall I got second place (in 105kg+). Being injured through most of the prep and eirik being so good on these events this was probably the best result I could hope for.

Becca will do her write up next.

European grip championships 2017 write up

Event 1 - the brutalizer.
So I had never used this piece of equipment before and was confident of a win because my fbbc 2.5" crusher was well above world record. I like rolling handle events and have strong thumbs. I pulled 50kg first lift and won the event on my first attempt. I went to 55kg and good lift. I then attempted 60kg which almost locked out but it hit my leg and they messed up my 30 second timing meaning I couldn't get to try it with my other hand but do think I would have got it.

First place. Second was 42.5kg.

Event 2 - Vulcan
So I was doing notch 8 and 8 regularly in training so again was confident of a win. Opened on 7 and 7 but missed it. Went to 6 and 6 and easy close. Third attempt was 7 and 7 again and closed it. Happy with it but the orange spring was harder than ours at home.

First place

Event 3 - blockbuster pinch

Pulling 33.4kg at home I was confident of another world record. Warm ups were good and a solid 28.4 so opened at 29.20kg and good lift so world record lift. Went to 31.4kg and missed it on my second attempt. Regrouped and on my third attempt I got it! Broke my own world record. 3.5kg above Elizabeth's original world record.

Won the event.

Event 4 silver bullet.
I hate this event and it scared me. Its so easy to mess up and had messed it up so many times in training. Only getting 1 attempt is brutal. But I felt strong today. After about 2 seconds it almost completely slipped out so held on for dear life afterwards. Was gutted as knew I could do more. Just over 12 seconds with the coc2.

Won the event.

Event 5 meat hook deadlift.
I'd pulled 170 once in the prep and this event seemed to be okay for me. Today I started on 150 and it was dodgy, went to 160 then 170 then 177.5 as a last attempt. All good lifts. The standard was so high with all the girls on this event and it was a narrow win, but again, a fifth win and overall 1st place.

Really happy with the result and being European grip champion 2017!!
