After yesterday kettlebell work shop my core was in bits. But today's session was good few tips utilised from the work shop to help overhead stability
Things felt a lot easier in the third set of 5 at 115 the best of the lot.

Nice lunch time session gone in 45 minutes.
Using the heavier KBs seem to free up the back so will just be part of my warm ups now.
Sumo felt solid always the first two is hard then the rest are fine.
Squats are going well and form is getting better.

Tyre flip was really hard as the small one is to light and the big one just that bit to heavy to nail form. Need to be be more explosive with these!! Also need to make sure the grip is solid enough!!
On a good not though I haven't flipped this tyre since 2008!!!! Will try 5 doubles next time
Frame deadlift is a horrible position for me with the bar to the front. At the side it's fine and just did a easy 25 sec hold

Little bit tired today but never less a solid session.
After seeing big Rae Willian's at 375 + 49lbs of added weight do pull ups then I feel I should be able to do them so there in for a good while now.

Felt battered today and Sumo squats felt hard focused on chest high and spreading the floor with my feet by pushing my knees out. Didn't work to well on the first rep but on the renaming reps on each set it felt easier. So I need to get my set up a lot better.
Squats were good but felt heavy based on how I was feeling.
KB swings are certainly beneficial and are helping.

Loading medley was ok just me being me and avoiding it second set was quicker but mega back cramp so will need plenty hydration sorted and dehydration sachets
Stones felt good even with mega LB pump 90's and 100's were easy enough and got things started.
120 was good see vid, 130 was good too so thought I'd try the 140 and surprised myself. Really happy with getting it with no tacky.

Well where do I begin? I don't really know but a good start would be to thank the Scalloway gym for training, support and running an excellent comp especially special notice to Stuart for making sure everything was running correctly.
well done to both the Faroes Boys Oli and Bjarne Who both did very very well in there victories and to Dhanni (Miriam) for his win well done.
I'd also like to say the Mr Arthur Jnr has done himself proudly in his first comp a long way from the little boy I first met when Colin when to collage!! Well done my man very proud to share the platform with you.

Huge thanks to MC for the day Papa Bear Wadley think you need to see my piece box next time Wink
All the helpers on the day you guys made and helped things run brilliantly all day so thank you
To Mike for refereeing you were fair consistent day.
To all the novices that took part you guys were excellent all day

Final thank you to Sólbjørn & Colin both has assisted with advice and encouragement to do this comp. which I was still in two minds to do on the day!! Glad I did

Big shout out to Stewart fae Orkney come to the Scottish qualifier with us you'll enjoy it Wink

Highlights for me
160kg log by me
Joel endurance tyre flipping extravaganza
Oli on the stones
Bjarne on the deadlift
Colin on hold I though his head was going to go pop!!

Excellent day and onwards and upward for me
