Gonna outlive my opposition !! Member 123, 4038 posts SQ 202.5, BP 135.0, DL 232.5570.0 kgs @ 117kgs UnEq | Information sent recently to all YNE members: DRUG TESTING As a YNEPF powerlifter you are responsible for ensuring that you compete cleanly and fairly in our sport. You are solely responsible for the decisions and choices you make and for your own behaviour and actions. In sport, you are expected to abide by all of the rules, and a set of important rules include those protecting sport from doping. To stay drug-free, it's essential you understand the implications of the World Anti-Doping Code and the UK Anti-Doping Rules and Regulations that outline your responsibilities as a powerlifter. For more on anti-doping and direct access to the information you need to fulfill your responsibilities, go to http://www.ukad.org.uk/athletes/100percentme. The website includes information on: • Testing Procedures • Therapeutic Use Exemptions • Checking Medications • Supplements • Prohibited List • Athlete Whereabouts You are strongly advised to read the above. The YNEPF will be testing at our competitions, at training venues and at lifters homes. We do not want people who use performance enhancing drugs in our sport. They are cheats and steal success from the clean lifters. The powerlifters who use such drugs should go and compete in federations that are not tested. The YNEPF will reject any member who tests positive, remove any records of that lifter and that these actions would take immediate effect and last for two years. No place for cheats in YNEPF. The funding for this testing has been allocated at the Executive meeting held yesterday. The main funding source is the GBPF rebate and the increased entry fee. We would be pleased to hear of any income source that you know of or can provide. UK Anti-Doping’s website contains information for all Powerlifters including downloadable fact-sheets as well as links to WADA, the Prohibited List, Global DRO, TUE information and other links. Scotbasher - forever Member 59, 2115 posts | Post Edited: 12.02.2014 @ 23:44 PM by brynevans All sounds very impressive on the face of it. The tone of it does make it seem like the YNEPF will be making all these decisions and "banning for 2years" surely each case should be reviewed individually? "Take effect immediately" would you have a right to appeal? one would hope so. Test in Wada lab? got to be to be enforcable. Any such decisions should be in line with the national constitution rather than the YNEPF being judge, jury and executioner.

AKA the great reset Member 4056, 5207 posts | Not enough money to catch enough drug cheats in amatuer sports. f**k there is hardly enough proper testing done in a lot of professional sports with loads of money involved. For example if people think UFC or boxing is clean because of testing they are having a laugh!

Theres a reason why WADA don't do it.
