well, with the advent of day before weigh ins, my new found love of the prowler, and the fact that I got owned at an open comp, the 105s are starting to look alot more appealling
doesn't mean I think its right though, haha

haha got it Grin

though a word of warning, personally i used to place higher on open comps than in 105s - the standard is crazy high, strong, fit as f**k, fast and - apart from JC - explosive!

Cutting weight will give you a massive advantage in a weight class if it's done correctly.

I did it for the WPC worlds in Miami, I came down from 95kg to 82.5kg. I was 90kg less than 48 hours out and went over 24 hours without water (NOT GOOD). I have to say cutting weight is harder than the contest itself. I more or less lifted the same as I do in the 90kg class, I only managed to get back up 86kg. I was due to compete against Michael Cartinian I think he was having problems cutting weight and ended up doing bench only because he couldnt get his weight back on. The Americans are well versed in cutting and adding weight. The drip is probably the best way to go about it!!

True what they say a good big one will always beat a good little one Happy Unless your name is Jigoro Kano

The best way to rehydrate is to have glucose solution pumped into the colon apparently (got that from a surgeon I know) as one of the colon's main jobs is to reabsorb water from waste. Haven't tried it. Dont know. May not be great before a big sqt. Have seen a similar video on VHS, but there was no PL in it.

Technically we are manipulating our bodies to get stronger, faster, more powerful. We also make our bodies lose or gain weight. Whats the difference with losing weight to make a weighin? Its still manipulating your body for your sport, and still requires planning and dedication, instead of eating your 5000 calories and 200g protein a day, in a disciplined manner, you don't consume any water for 6 hours before the weighin, but one is ok, the other is frowned upon.
