![]() still a devious weightlifting bastard Member 43, 14379 posts | Loads of chat about pretty much every other aspect of various disciplines of strength sports on here, but one (often overlooked) subject is weighing in. What do you all feel about this? To some it can be comp winning, to others simply a footnote detail. Most of us who have competed have had to endure the dreaded scales. Is it fair? Crooked? Vital? Unessecary? Sexy or just plain daft? What would you change about this? Just never crops up does it? ![]()

Clipboard is a necessity!

There is no reason to do it in strongman, other than, they do it at worlds. It doesn't make any sense at all

It doesn't make any sense at all x2. its a U105 or U90 or whatever comp... not a "I was U105kg 4 hours or a day ago.. but im now 115kg. Its like a bloke dressing up as a girl and turning up to a girls only comp for the gender check a day before, p[assing that and then turning up the next day with full beard etc ready to go, knowing nothing can be said as he was passed as a girl the day before.

And besides, banana, what the f**k does this have to do with you mate, or are you planning to drop 30% of your bodyweight? ![]()

If we except that then there should be no issue. Just look back to Saddler's time, he was weighin in more on comp day, internationals of course.
