If we except that then there should be no issue. Just look back to Saddler's time, he was weighin in more on comp day, internationals of course. I'm NOT saying that you shouldn't do it to keep up with the rest of the world, it is inevitable that you will what I'm saying is that there is absolutely no LOGICAL reason to do it. The only reason it is done, is so people can weigh a wild amount more than the weight limit. Therefore why not just change the weight limit to 115 = same outcome

Yeah, casually walking round the night before with his big bottle of water, chatting s**t, laughing at us all dehydrated, then realising he was actually 108.

As you rightly said if you increase the weight limit, you just move the problem up the scales.

If people do a big cut and weigh-in on the morning then they will be dehydrated while competing.

I don't care about peoples safety, if someone wants to put their health at risk cutting weight, good for them and I understand that in boxing, don't get it in anything where you don't get hit in the head

Surely the weight limit would be better off at u105kg then, it's doesn't matter what weight you set it at. Besides u105kg is international standard weight limits.

The only solution is to constantly monitor their weight. Random weight checks throughout the competition. Otherwise it's not a U105 comp.
