Monday 7th June.

No students today so we got into the gym a little earlier than usual.
Martine, Sharn & Shaun occupied trap 1, Mark the Albatross had trap 2, Adam & Big Dave had trap 3 and Forklift, Stewart and new bloke (should ask his name really) had trap 4. I was deadlifting, I think that makes 10! Weighed in at 113.5Kg, however that was after a weekend where all I seemed to do was eat.

Monday 14th April.

First time in the gym for a week, I've been in France and 24 hours driving in 4 days has played havoc with my knees so I kept the weights light tonight.
The Farm was very quiet (students on holiday again) just 7 of us working up a sweat and Big Dave. Weighed in at 112.6Kg.

Nine lifters today, plus the Paralympic lads from 7.
Weighed in at 113.00Kg.

Could have gone a little higher maybe but my best from the old (somebody stole it)75mm platform was only 190 so I am happy with this.

No benching, giving the shoulders a night off.

Snatch.
Lots up to a 56Kg PB, it's only 1Kg better than my previous best but i'm satisfied as I am really poor at these.

Another quiet night at the Farm, just 8 lifters. Weighed in at 111.85Kg.

Left it here, should have done 3x2x200 but something in my back pinged at this point, 10 minutes later I could not bend over to pick up 150!!!

Not trained since last Monday, back still sore and I spent all of Wednesday and Friday evenings getting the Farm ready for the CLASSIC on Saturday which i'm pleased to say went very well.
Back in the gym tonight for squats & benching...
It's gonna hurt.

Monday 28th April.

Weighed in at 112.5Kg.

For the past 3-4 years I've been wearing my lever belt but not actually doing it up before lifting, after tweaking my back last Monday I thought that i'd get back into the habit of actually doing it up!

Squats, Front & Back.

3 x 125
1 x 105 Front.
2 x 135
1 x 110 Front.

1 x 115 Front.
Deliberately kept the weights light, struggled to breath with the belt tightened however it was okay for singles and the back felt well supported.

Bench.

Another light session.

Finished with some light Hex bar deadlifts up to 168Kg, kept the belt on and the back straight.

Now that the students are back the Farm seemed very busy again. Weighed in at 112.5Kg. Still working with the belt done up as the back is only improving slowly.

Dont bother doing rack pulls Ian, you wont get anything from them with the exception of stronger grip/possible bigger traps, unless thats what your after do them of blocks as it better replicates a deadlift from the floor with the flex in the bar etc.
