Hope they can tweak the qualification next year Pretty sure Ed could have qualified if he wanted to. There were five comps he could have gone to last year, most of which he would have placed top three (enough to qualify) without breaking a sweat. He's focusing on WSM.

I cant see him getting past Thor and Shaw

End of an era. Member 4646, 1964 posts | You never know...He has done the last two Arnold's so has trained for them. Despite his performances not being great I don't think he is way off. But I don't think he would beat Shaw...He trains hard for it every year and is handling the weight increases fine. The increases in yoke and frame don't seem to phase him...He actually seems to get quicker.

Member 5171, 1049 posts SQ 217.5, BP 160, DL 233.5611.0 kgs @ 83kgs UnEq | Eddie wants to win wsm so he can retire before he dies because of his dangerous size and bodyweight. So i perfectly understand that he focuses on wsm. But i am afraid he can do what ever it takes. Shaw will still be better. Eddie is not at that level yet.

I went to a Eddie seminar in 2015 (first year he went to Arnold's) and as it's a competition im very fond of I asked lots of questions about it.....he isn't interested in the Arnold's in the slightest lol! He told me he would only go in 2016 if they offered him money to break the deadlift WR. He wants 1 WSM title and doesn't care for anything else. Each to their own I suppose, very driven individual

No disrespect to Ed though, it's just obviously just how he is. Seems a very intelligent bloke tbh, get in, get out, loads of coin lots of fame, still alive . WSM title lasts forever Having two children will also be a huge factor

Lost his pen, then found his pen. #phew Member 4899, 2956 posts | The Pro Raw Challenge LiveStream will be tomorrow at - I think - 1300. The Pro American (so Ray Williams, Kelly Branton etc) will be on Saturday at 1400. Blaine Sumner (equipped) and Stephen Manuel (Raw) also lift on Saturday, although I believe the Rogue stage is not set up for livestream?
