I don‘t like all this commercial show bulls**t. Thats why i turned away from viewing strengthsport stuff daily.

Those old times with Z and so on...they were really interesting, but now everyone and his dog are some sort of instagram/youtube guru.

That was insane. 240kg Strict Presses, 500kg+ Deadlifts and 500kg+ Raw Squats....if one had told me that a couple of years ago, i would have called it „impossible“

Benni won't come anywhere near that. Nobody does...

He said he weighed 180kg and he looked good. Said his training was soooo so good. Then he performed bad and all of a sudden he had something and lost 10kg bw.
I think he is doing that for more publicity before a competition. He wants to make as much money as he can. Who can blame him? I would do the same. But for me he is finished.

Mikeneto said:Z also confirmed he was ill and lost 10kg. Hopefully he will get his strength back for WSM.

He is making excuses. Drex was right with his observation.

Eddies log clean with 230kg was easy as f**k. He will get it definately in the future.

It's just a matter of time. Eddie will be the one who breaks it and puts it past 230kg.
I think Zydrunas won't do any damage anymore. Failing 213kg shows that he just isn't at his best anymore, no matter what else he claims on instagram.

Maybe it's hard. But jerking should be banned completely from strongman. Just like it's banned in events like viking press.

An easy 216kg. Has some injuries right now he said. He will only compete in the log lift.

Rob's log doesn't count because of gayness and jerk technique(which adds to the gayness).

Zydrunas is confident, but i can't see him doing it. He did 202.5kg x 4 in his Arnolds Preparation and failed 228kg shortly after, if i am remembering right.
Now he doesn't look anywhere near that strength level.

Does anyone know what a chimp can partial bench press in the smith with band tension?

The baumann study is the bogus study that is cited by people over and over.
There are much more recent and accurate studies about the strength of chimps.

'Thus the number entered the anthropology textbooks and made its way into the talking points of recent primatologists like Jane Goodall and Sue Savage-Rumbaugh.

But the "five times" figure was refuted 20 years after Bauman's experiments. In 1943, Glen Finch of the Yale primate laboratory rigged an apparatus to test the arm strength of eight captive chimpanzees. An adult male chimp, he found, pulled about the same weight as an adult man. Once he'd corrected the measurement for their smaller body sizes, chimpanzees did turn out to be stronger than humans—but not by a factor of five or anything close to it.

Repeated tests in the 1960s confirmed this basic picture. A chimpanzee had, pound for pound, as much as twice the strength of a human when it came to pulling weights. The apes beat us in leg strength, too, despite our reliance on our legs for locomotion. A 2006 study found that bonobos can jump one-third higher than top-level human athletes, and bonobo legs generate as much force as humans nearly two times heavier.'

What makes them so dangerous is their viciousness, their aggressiveness and their teeth.
They don't rip hands off, they bite them off..
