Member 2492, 78 posts | Yeah, bring the stones back and remove the straps from the frame carry.

Member 2492, 78 posts | This is paradox. In spite of being the heaviest strongman competition in the world, competition without stones and grip testing (both are protect sign of strongman) is akward.

I am from Germany so i know what i talk about. Member 5171, 1049 posts SQ 217.5, BP 160, DL 233.5611.0 kgs @ 83kgs UnEq | Terry todd should ban deadlift. Instead there should be seated shoulder press in the smith machine and quartersquats.

Depends on his back obviously... He took time off to rehab it, became a lean minge slaying machine and is now growing again and aiming for the Arnold's. In the last year or so he has done a few smaller comps and bits, but we all knew he was testing the water. Well I hope that was the case instead of just cashing in. I see this as the big one now, and we will see just where he is at with his back and lifts come the Arnolds. I just don't see the Arnolds as a comp he can take lightly, or just turn up to make up the numbers. Arnolds and Worlds are the big two, and if Z can come back and win one of those this year, or even both, it would be the greatest comeback in strongman! Z's deadlift has always been good when on form, but this will be a real sign of what Z's got left in the tank.

End of an era. Member 4646, 1964 posts | Post Edited: 13.02.2017 @ 12:18 PM by Mikeneto He said he was stronger in the gym in December 2016 than he was in December 2015. He did win the Arnold's last year.I still don't think he will be back to 100%..But I reckon he will be slightly under 180kg when competing, not that 170kg as he said he was aiming for.

The first part of your post is key, people forget that he won last year. I guess him missing worlds has made a bigger impact though as people have really been writing him off lately. Even when he's not 100%, he is still immense, and if he can get back to high 90's he can still do very well.

His last deadlift was 360kg in this competition against shahlaei etc. I would be very suprised if he could lift anywhere near 420kg or so.
