I tell younger members of the gym that having them opposing ways causes cancer. They don't believe me but they do know that it must be very wrong so they humour me. The younger members of the gym are very kind.

Surely the correct and only way to load a bar if using plates that do not have their weight printed on both sides, is to put the first pair of plates facing inwards (thus displaying the weight), and all remaining pairs facing outwards?

As a stickler for detail and self-styled 'gentleman powerlifter', I am surprised at you Pete!

locking doors. i have to check the door every time i walk near it, on a night i check the doors about 5 times after iv locked it lol. i even lock other peoples doors wen i visit their house n then think wtf am i doing haha.

wen i lived with my mum we was robbed several times. once wen on holiday, garage broke into twice, bikes taken from garden 3 times, van broken into, some cheeky c**t climbed through front window in middle of night while we was all asleep, and some bas***d just walked in through the door n ran off with my mums bag while she was in the bath. im pretty sure all that is the reason behind my locking of doors and shutting windows

I like my wheelie bins to be perfectly aligned, even though I don't mind untidiness in general, which is a bit bizarre. Also, I wash my hands quite a lot.

I have something similar without the hand washing bit. Some things I need to be lined up and symmetrical, but in general I do live in mess or used to before being married Wink

Things like tea/coffee/sugar jars I like in perfect line with writing facing right way. Silly things like that.

1. I always have to turn the lights off at night before I go to sleep.
2. Whenever I leave my house, unless I'm going to very quickly go back inside, I will lock the door.
3. I also have to lock my car's doors whenever I leave it unattended.
4. I never ever pay council tax bills on time. I guess I'm really "OCD" about that too.
5. I never eat food if I know I don't like the taste of it. Almost never.
6. When I walk, I have to alternate between my 2 legs for every step. If I don't do this, I think my family will all die or something.
7. My feet.....shoes.....sorry but, they have to match up. Left in left, right in right.
8. Also, I never really noticed this before, I must do it subconciously, but yeah...my blood.... it always enters my right atrium, unoxegenated, and then passes through my right ventricle, out of the heart through the pulmonary artery and then off it goes to my lungs. Every single f**king time.

I get called OCD a lot.

I think it's important to differentiate between OCD and just being neat, tidy, clean, organised and diligent!

Checking the door is locked, things being in the right place, cleanliness etc shouldn't be criticised or laughed at. It's all you weirdos that DON'T check the fridge is shut properly, DON'T line things up properly and put plates on bars in the wrong order that are in need of help!

A disorder is something that negatively affects your life, and while a lot of people may display obsessive or compulsive traits, it certainly isn't OCD. In fact for me, my behaviour improves my life!

This sums it up very well. I have OCD, I also have a lot of the traits that are mentioned here but they aren't really OCD. I suffer from intrusive thoughts, imagine having the worst thoughts possible (th9ings that repulse you) stuck in your head repeating itself over and over for days and sometimes weeks on end. It affects my sleep and appetite so my training often goes to s**t.

My fiancé is terrible however I am the opposite in that I am messy and don't really care about anything.

The other day she through away a banana from an old bunch as it didn't match the new bunch!!!

She goes mad if I have unread messages on my phone

The list goes on
