Wednesday 29th August

Squat: 51 x 6, 91 x 5, 131 x 5,5,5. 4mins rest between.
Bottom pin squats: 51 x 5, 71 x 5, 91 x 5. 4mins rest between.

Not sure what to call those squats that Tony has started doing. I set the spotting bars so getting under the bar put me pretty much arse to the grass. Bloody awkward to get going. Tried to keep my head up and chest out and all that, but I either tended to go forwards slightly or backwards slightly or nowhere absolutely! However, I managed them at quite light weight. Each time I did one rep (up and down) I took myself out from under the bar and then got back under it again so as not to be in the groove - I guess that's the idea. I will have to give these another go or two before I get anyhow with them.

Friday 31st August

DL: 50 x 6, 90 x 5, 130 x 5, 160 x 5, 180 x 3,3,3. 2mins rest between each set
WG chins: BW x 8,8,8. 2mins rest between sets.
BB rows: 60 x 6, 50 x 8,8. 2mins rest between sets.
BB curls: 28 x 8, 38 x 8,8. 2mins rest between sets.

Had my BB friend round again hence all the very short rests between each set. However, still mananaged to pump out 3 x 3 x 180 on the deads which I'm pleased about.

Cheers. I would really like to try deadlifting using an olympic bar, and if I'm feeling frisky who knows where it could lead! (oo er)

We'll see, it's all just numbers unless I actually do it. I never count my chickens...

Monday 3rd Sept

Bench: 51 x 8, 71 x 6, 71 x 5, 81 x 5,5,5. 2mins rest between.
Dips: BW+10 x 8,8,8. 2 mins rest between.
standing db press: 22 x 8,8,8. 2mins rest between.
push downs: 30 x 8,8,8. 2mins rest between.

Another session with my BB mate. Another super fast session therefore. Decided before I started that I was going to go relatively light on the bench but go as fast as possible for each rep. Managed it quite well. Happy enough with all that. Should be good for attempting a paused videoed 1RM bench soon all being well.
