The more I do this kind of training,the more I like it. Although it's still early days and I havn't got a proper deadlift p.b yet,i'm sure it's not far away. And atleast my squat is coming on Happy

Very happy with today and am loving squats at the mo. From next week,i'm going to start squating 3x a week. More details on the routine to follow shortly but it's something i've been wanting to do for a while now.

So,starting a 3 x a week squat program next week. Workout's will hopefully look something like this

Monday- Squat,band pull thrs,g&h raises,abb work
Wednesday- Squat,Push press,dumbell press
Friday- Squat,good mornings,shrugs abb work

have you ever thought that it wasnt deadlifting it self that was f**king your back up for days afterwards and not helping you progress, but maybe the fact you did 10 sets of 4.....? to me that just sounds silly, maybe if you cut down the sets you would be able to deadlift more often without f**king you back up...? i just dont see how not deadlifting would help your deadlift

Deadlifting for that many sets wasn't the best idea,but i've tried many different rep/set schemes over the years from 1x5,2x5,3x5,3x3,1x20 and 5/3/1 and it's seems i'm making the best progress by only dealifting once every 6 weeks or so. The deadlift is an awesome test of strength,but I think there are more productive exercises out there that don't take as much out of you.
