id say your good for a 140 PP from front now atleast from the look of your vid. whats wrong with your shoulder on incline and strict joint issues?

250kg x 1 (border line but far better groove)

210kg x 5 (+3 rep PB bit of a spot on the last one)

Push Press

60kg 2x3

140kg x 1 (+10kg PB)
160kg x 0 (behind the neck terrible fail got the leg drive to over my head but it was far to heavy to press out just got greedy)

How come u dont bend your knees much on the push presses would u not get more leg power if u did more? gj on pb

Cheers.

Too much leg dip and you loose a lot of power and basically turn into a squat it should be short and sharp into the bar.

If you look at any good jerk you will see not too much of a knee bend examples dimas and kokylev.





A good push press is basically a jerk with a press out instead of a dip or split.

i dont understand how dimas can get so much leg drive from barely moving his legs, obviously works for him. maybe its because the bars i use are stiff and the oly bars whiplash easier ? always nice watching the top guys make it look so effortless.

Possibly something to do with it but not as much to make a huge diffrence, here he s using a russian bar 200kg x 3 pp, looks much stiffer than the elikos.



More you can snap into it the better a drive you will get it's not about taking a wind up it's about using your mechanical advantage (small knee bend) and fast turn over to snap into the bar as much as possible.

ye my technique is probly not the best i always wonder how when i see people PP 50% more than they press with no legs, does ur gym have any power bars or are they all oly bars?

Think we have 15 ivanko power bars, 12-16 eliko oly bars and 14 nelco oly bars throughout the various gyms.

quailty Grin cant wait to start training with good bars and bumpers. is it only the people on teams that are allowed in the new part downstairs with all the squat racks?

Yeah unfortualey that is pretty much a sports bursar only gym, that might change with time however after the dynamics of that place have been sorted out. In the mean time the vaults are sucking away all the squat rack curlers so FW1 is pretty dead.
