Trying to improve deadlift. Trying 85% of pb and getting 5 x 5's feels hard and definitely like I'm covering enough mass for improvement, only hope I'm going in right direction.
Partial deadlifts and deadlifts each week will train reps for 4 weeks then again try for pb, let the cycle repeat.

For general improvement 3x5 with weight increase of 5kg every time you hit 3x5 on you selected weight is a good one
Also the Russian masters and 5/3/1 are good plans. Assistance exercises like SLDL, Romanian DL, Good mornings and GHR's are are good options pluss a strong upper back is needed to so cable rowsDB rows abd BOR are a main stay plus pull ups.

It was pretty barbaric! Lots of bullying in this sport for newbies!!!!
Purchased unsure where looks good with the Merc alloys though hey lol
