Pudz and Misha both use them as part of OH training. I think it is a good addition for variation and forces development of explosive power.

Was it not also recently in a comp in Scotland? Or at least talked about being in one?

Rob has a very valid point as it is a lift pretty much never seen in strongman, but as he also said if it helps develop everthing else then fair play!

I reckon so, although the exercise looks fun is it as beneficial for improving log/axle as other assistance exercises would be?

I would argue that depending on the person it could be, but it depends on what other exercises you are comparing it to.

Personally I quite like them, and find it much easier to be explosive BTN, and think doing them probably helps because of that.

Thanks mate, I can't imagine moving the same/more weight as I do from the front from behind the neck comfortably though. Probably a technique & flexability thing I guess
