From my tiny observations, there is a remarkable difference between their respective body language and demeanour. I can see Ed oozing confidence and Thor seemingly looking quite timid and meek. Thor doesnt strike me as an agressive guy, and he certainly doesnt have the sheer aggression and attitude of Ed. I honestly think Ed has that advantage over Thor, and especially the mind games side too.

Thor's only real chance is to use his reach and keep Ed at bay in the hope that Ed punches himself out and gasses. Then he can be picked off.

I simply can't write Ed off though, because he clearly has not been showing a great deal of what he has actually been doing behind the scenes, and you know he has taken this VERY seriously. His ego will not allow him to do anything less.

I do wonder what the outcomes will be though for each individual... How will they react post fight, or will it be a rematch or extended controversial draw or result that keeps the saga ongoing.

Whatever the result, I would personally prefer Ed to win and for the whole thing then to just be put to bed and finished with.

You think Eddie will win because he looks confident and Thor looks timid?

During their face off thor didn't look a bit timid or as if Eddie was in his head

Eddie was the one that lost control and appeared to spit in his face

The guy that shouts the loudest isn't necessarily the toughest guy in the room

I didnt see a face off, so can't base any of my opinions upon that. Didnt even know they had done one haha.

When I refer to the body language and demeanour, I am going off of the last year or so of their social media posts. Granted Thor doesnt have much of a personality and is hindered by his bells palsy, but I don't look at him or his behaviour and think he is an aggressive savage. I look at him and I feel like he doesn't beleive in his ability to beat Eddie. Where as Ed, I beleive he has a killer instinct and we all know he backs himself 100%.

Now, that of course does not count for much once the bell rings becauase everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.

I just see this as a simple fight... Ed will be trying to destroy Thor and KO him. Ed is not going in to win on points, or to use the sweet science of boxing to win. He wants to hurt Thor and dominate him in style.

Thor knows this, and will be counting on his reach to keep Ed at harms bay. Thor is counting on his reach, his own conditioning, and hoping that Ed loses discipline and gases.

I do think if either is going to fear the other it’ll be Thor being scared of Eddie. Stoke isn’t the worst place in the world but there’s a big difference between growing up working class in the North and being from Reykjavík. Not sure if that’ll have any impact on the fight though.

Thor’s come out of all the build up looking by far the classier of the two though, so I hope if there’s a winner, it’s him.

What id like though is a draw where they both get knocked down once. Then Eddie to grow up a bit and say something nice at the end.

I think this is the general feeling of the majority of us long time strongman fans really...

It does feel a bit odd... not strongman (which I'd imagine a fair few of us follow, and have likely followed for a while!), and not really boxing...

I will never understand why so many people get their knickers in a twist over things like this

So many boxers and so many strongman fans

It's like Thor isn't allowed to do anything other than strongman just because he competed in strongman for a period of time

Most of the people on this forum have competed in strongman, does that mean non of you are ever allowed to do anything else?

I played rugby for longer than I've competed in strongman, does that make me a rugby player or a strongman? Or just someone doing more than 1 thing for their whole life

It's just entertainment, so untwist your knickers and have some fun

Wouldn't be surprised if the winner went on to fight Jake Paul if they could generate enough money to make it worth Jake's time

Go to 6:47 to see Eddie Hall cover himself in absolute glory.

He really is low f**king class.

I hope Thor batters him.

X2

He's like a poundland conor mcgregor

I love how he said Thor has only won a single title, when he knows rightly that the Arnold's is equally as huge and Thor dominated it his last few years

He probably actually believes he would have won 2018

Tbf bryce would have had completely different events had he entered lol

Watched the face off. Have to admit i'm enjoying this build up.

Eddie appears to compare an insincere handshake to rape? Really?! Very stupid thing to say.

At times he comes across as amazingly insecure, at times seems to just be joking around. Very hard to read.

Looking forward to this for a bit of a laugh. Tickets only cost 50AED (£10). Bargain.

I predict two gassed old men and a points decision.

I had zero interest until Ed spat at him.

Utterly vulgar act and one that has me hoping Thor embarrasses him for 5.5 rounds and then drops him.

Real class act and role model for his son.
