Let me know when you’re next thinking of doing one and I’ll break my duck and do one at the same time. Give me a couple of weeks though...Grin

I was all set to race yesterday until two minutes before and the system booted me out for connectivity issues. Ended up doing a standalone time trial of 1.13:0 cruelly rounded up from 1:12.9!

Brutal Eek

Proper fly and die there, and nice to see someone pulling so fast but with a relatively low rate. Well done Grin

1.13.0 very nice.

Did you see the 13year old Zimbabwean girl did 1.31.9? She is 6'4'' so many sports she could excel at.

Wow that is a ridiculous time! It'll be interesting to see which direction she gets pulled in as she gets older too. I expect the American university scholarship offers are coming in already!

Bad luck with the computer glitch Unhappy , would you have podiumed (open) or won (30-39)? Stupid online competitions.

Just watched the video. Very solid row indeed, not much of a fade at the end.

Obviously it's hard to say as I didn't have to react to the race start. I think it should have been good enough for bronze in the open behind Anton the Ukranian who pulled 1:12.8 and Big Phil who pulled 1:11.6.

I definitely rely more on the strength and stroke length than I do the rate, but this was an attempt at a very controlled first 250m rather than go out hitting max watts from the start. If I did open up with 1:03 pulls I'd more than lose the benefits after about 300m, but it's a strategy that seems to work for Phil!

May be 18:00 but I'll try.

Are Friday nights still what they used to be for you Jon? Not for me ha ha. I'd die now.

Let’s do it that night, no matter the time.

I’m a lot more sensible now, but I still know how to enjoy myself. Party time! Wink

Anyone gearing up for a 1k next week (World indoor sprints https://log.concept2.com/challenges/indoor-sprints) ? I'll have a go, since I haven't done one in a while, but I'm a bit in the dark in terms of what shape I'm in Confused

Cheers JT. Chips, peas and fish fingers straight after. Jack Reacher on audiobook and a bit of rowing too. It's what Fridays are made for.

Well done Jon. Don't know what all that means, but looks fast.

40 seconds off. 1:43:39.6 I'll sleep well tonight.
