close to being re-banned Member 3955, 822 posts SQ 200, BP 160, DL 250610.0 kgs @ 110kgs UnEq | last nights squatting has made me feel ambitious as ****. if this keeps up. in 10 weeks when my uni friend comes home id like a 220 squat (with or without wraps i do not care), a 180 bench(i wont flat bench till hes back ill stick with other things then max out the day or whatever he comes home), and perhaps a 272.5 deadlift. i think these numbers are a little optimistic, but if you don't aim high you'll get nowhere. | ||

I don't think they'll be that difficult for you, especially with the gains you've been making! A 220 squat in wraps isn't far off as it is, you can 20-30kg out of wraps if they're done propery. | ||

A 220 squat in wraps isn't far off as it is, you can 20-30kg out of wraps if they're done propery. true that. i might even be able to wrap it now lol, my wraps are s**te so im never using them again. they pissed me off so hard the last time i tried with them. hence why ill wait till uni friend is back, he has a pair of those strength shop ones, the ultra stiff ones, he gets s**t loads out of them and is a 'fair' amount weaker than I. for my deadlift ill add 5kgs a week (was originally gonna do 10 but meh, 5 is easier), squat ill be adding 2.5. and bench ill just be going up 2.5 each hand on flat dumbbell and 5kg on incline barbell. and progressing as such on all the other exercises i do! ty for dropping in | ||

I know there's spring out the hole but the muscles of the lower back, hips etc all have to bear the weight just the same, they get no extra support. 30kg would be madness | ||

LOL. paused seated db shoulder press 32.5s x9 32.5s x4 lol. side raises 10s x20 10s x10 dropped to 7.5s x5... 10s x15. rear raise machine 40x12 45x10 dropped to 30x5 db shrug 30s x12,12 barbell curl barx8 40x10 50x4 crappy i guess considering my pb is 10. pretty fatigued now tho. hammer preacher curl 10 x10, 10 4 sets of calf raises also that feel of joy when someone says 'wtf u been taking!' edit: bodyweight this morning 16st 7, so i've lost some weight but i look better and i've been eating to gain weight so yh, win win. | ||

Not really, your back angle goes however your body mechanics want it to, i just enforce an arch in my back. whether my back is paralel to the floor (extremely obvious you wouldnt/couldnt do this, or whether you are perfectly upright. just make sure ur flexing that middle back. , also ive found bouncing out of the hole, that smashes my back out of position (i.e, forces it into rounding and the bar goes forward so i have to back it up) so i go a bit slower now and ive actually found im more powerful this way. probably somewhat because i don't go that extra inch or so but i still hit below paralell. | ||
