Have heard training early is bad for joints and spine and training late in my experience means crap sleep but does anyone have experience doing heavy lifting at say 0500 or 2300 on a regular basis and what is seen as the lesser of the two evils?? | ||

I can now squat and bench OK in the early AM (around 06:30), but deadlifting just doesn't seem to work. I am so stiff and inflexible when I wake up that deadlifting just doesn't really work. In fact, now I think about it, i only injured by back (no longer currently deadlifting) after switching to early training. My early morning deadlift so far is 50KG behind my PM deadlift. Chatted to a gymnast about this this morning and he said his coach used to split their class into 2 groups - those who were had problems with mobility in the early AM (to train later) and those who didn't. | ||
