The way I did it was just to use one of those steps they use for step aerobics where you can lower them. Just sat in it looked in mirror then adjusted so when I sat down I was parallel!

My the left hand side of my upper traps have locked on. It's causing an impingement on that side so I've got to work on depressing my shoulder blade. Really weird, I could do it easy beforehand but now it takes a lot of effort. I actually break a sweat concentrating on it. It's quite surprising the strength loss I have on that side. The physio asked me to move my right arm in a certain position and told me to push up while she pushed down. That was easy, she came off the floor and ended up balanced on top. However on the left she could push me down easy. Quite amazing really, just glad its fixable.

You are making progress and like you've said technique needs a little work. I'm never happy with my squat technique, there's always something I feel could be better. As long as you keep improving that's the part that counts. Goonies never say die.

Glad to hear your on the road to recovery mate the main thing is that it's not permanent, sure you will regain the strength in no time. Just read your squat post in the training section. I'm never happy with my squat technique, there's always something I feel could be better. As long as you keep improving that's the part that counts. Goonies never say die. Thanks bud it hasn't disheartened me at all and expected it, I got to parallel which would be good enough for strongman and i'm sure I could sit it deeper but need to keep working on my flexibility. I'll never give up mate and will get there eventually

not particularly well educated Member 85, 10988 posts SQ 170, BP 130, DL 260560.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | i wouldnt worry about getting slagged for depth mate , they might not have passed in a powerlifting comp but they wern't far away, It looked like good gym rep to me . Far too many people on this site get far too hung up on depth. If you were a long standing memeber of the forum posting up a 300k squat to that depth you would probably have drowned in fawning crongratulations. i guess what I'm trying to say is people are t**ts on the internet!

Thanks mate appreciate it it hasn't bothered me really, as you said it wouldn't be good enough for a powerlifting comp but i'm pretty sure it would pass in strongman which is what I'm aiming for. I will squat it deeper at some point but for now i'm happy

I am quite happy with my progress but feel I should have done more. I'm mainly annoyed with my deadlift as it hasn't improved since August but that will hopefully change soon! Here is my improvements.Deadlift - 160kg to 250kg Squat - up to 220kg previously never squatted before. Bench - 110kg to 165kg Push press - 80kg to 122.5kg Strict press - 65kg to 92.5kg (need to do this more often) CGBP - 80kg to 150kg Log - 105kg (think I can do more but haven't been near a log in months) Front squat - 140kg Zercher squat - 140kg Here's hoping to better progress this year
