I don't think Shaun needs to comment TBH. I think everyone on here knows that if he carries on lifting like he has recently he will have a long and illustrious lifting career in front of him. There's at least 2 more Olympics he will get a shot at, plus Commonwealths, Europeans, Worlds etc. and he WILL represent us at in some of those.
However, when are these governing bodies going to realise that they are dealing with people's dreams and treat athletes more respectfully? It's a f**king disgrace that they not only turn back on their decision but then don't even follow their own procedures on a timeframe for appealing. (not that it would make any difference I'm sure).
The fact that Shaun has kept schtum on here about this whole shambles is a great sign of maturity. I doubt I could have kept so reserved.

The fact that they didn't follow their own procedures would probably give Shaun weight to take it further.
Being someone who 'rocks the boat' may not be in his best interest long term though.
Thw whole thing sounds f**king disgraceful.

Thing is, does on want to be the guy that annoyed the governing body, cause by looks of it BOA and these lot look like right c**ts.
However, for future comps Shaun will be lifting such insane weights they'll have no choice but to select him!

I was going to give you alot more in depth version of events but Kev got excited ..
There is more to it . We got Legal advice off one of the very best firms in the world of sporting legal matters for Shauns appeal ..
I was in the pub with Shaun the night before the appeal was to be had ..

Terrible - BWL seem to have completely ignored their own selection policy and to tell someone they are picked and then deselect them is completely unacceptable. I feel deeply sorry for Shaun.

What a set of ar****les. I know what my reaction would be but then that's why i do the job i do i suppose.
Just hope shaun keeps his head and doesn't let this put him off and i'm sure with the people around him he will go on to be lifting at a level they have no choice but to select him.

On a more positive note if that's even possible, I've just had a txt off Shaun showing me the session he's done tonight. All I can say is he's training f**king HARD and is obviously set on using this as motivation for his future.. He's shown more maturity than I've ever given him credit of possessing.
