Mighty young Joe Member 675, 2271 posts SQ 272.5, BP 180, DL 275727.5 kgs @ 114.8kgs UnEq | My old physics teacher had an amazing video comparing the sizes of known stars. Showed the scale of them brilliantly. The largest known star has a circumference the size of jupiters orbit around the solar system. Combine with epic music and it's some stirring stuff.

The world famous projectile vomit master Member 1293, 443 posts SQ 210, BP 155, DL 280645.0 kgs @ 105kgs UnEq | more significant i think... maybe lucky, as we all are to be living on a planet which is so unique in its properties/location, that life can flourish... some many vital boxes are ticked by the earth... ie distance from sun, water, magnetic poles, close to huge planets which mop up a lot of meteors, the atmosphere, i even read that the fact that we have a large moon maintains the stability of the earths rotation.. without which weather and climate would change very abruptly.. currently reading michio kaku's physics of the impossible.. ( for the third time now, as is it quite mind boggling) a good read if you're into this kind of fascinating stuff...
